Cleveland Browns fans have all their focus on the upcoming NFL Draft, which will be a critical one for this franchise on the heels of last year\u2019s tremendous rookie class. If the Browns can execute once again with their nine picks in the \u201926 draft, they could finally have a strong foundation on which the next great Browns team can be built upon.<\/p>\n
The focus is on the draft because the bulk of the work in free agency and the trade market is likely done, but some have been running wild with the recent Myles Garrett trade rumors. Even though those rumors have been completely debunked by ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter, Cleveland.com\u2019s Mary Kay Cabot, and the Browns front office, it\u2019s somehow not enough, and there are media members continuing to fire off takes and trade ideas.<\/p>\n
ESPN Cleveland\u2019s Aaron Goldhammer recently proposed the wildest trade idea of all. He pointed out how quarterback Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles don\u2019t appear to be in a great place, and he suggested a trade of Myles Garrett for the former Super Bowl MVP.<\/p>\n
\u201cApparently, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles are at a bit of a crossroads. The whole thing is that he\u2019s reluctant to follow what the coaches are coaching him, that he\u2019s changing plays when he doesn\u2019t have permission to change them. If the Eagles called and said we\u2019ll give you Jalen Hurts, you give us Myles Garrett. I would try to rush to make sure they don\u2019t change their mind. It\u2019s a quarterback league,\u201d Goldhammer said.<\/p>\n

It speaks to the pain this fan base has related to not having a franchise quarterback for so long, but it\u2019s hard to even imagine Hurts being the solution at the moment.<\/p>\n New head coach Todd Monken would surely have some fun with Hurts after helping guide Lamar Jackson to some of the best years of his career, but even he is on board with keeping Garrett around long-term<\/a>.<\/p>\n It hurts that there are still questions at quarterback, and fans are going to have to talk themselves into either Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders in 2026. Hopefully, one of them can emerge as a potential franchise guy, and if not, GM Andrew Berry is going to have to take another swing in the draft because trading for Jalen Hurts is not happening.<\/p>\n
