Cam Newton<\/a> has weighed in on the fiasco surrounding Bill Belichick<\/a> and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The former New England Patriots<\/a> quarterback took a deep dive into the topic on a recent episode of his podcast, \u201c4th & 1 with Cam Newton.\u201d<\/a> The former quarterback weighed in, noting that all the attention is on Belichick\u2019s 24-year-old girlfriend instead of his new team.<\/p>\n

\u201cNorth Carolina didn\u2019t sign up for all these shenanigans off-field,\u201c Newton said. \u201dWe\u2019re talking more about Jordon Hudson than talking about who\u2019s our starting quarterback. Hello, you can\u2019t name me three players on North Carolina\u2019s roster right now \u2013 besides Jordon Hudson.\u201d<\/p>\n

Newton played one season with Belichick during the 2020 season. Since then, he\u2019s always had positive things to say about the former Patriots coach.<\/p>\n

Even in the segment, Newton said that the first thing that comes to mind when he hears \u201cBelichick\u201d is \u201cgreatest coach of all time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Well, that\u2019s until Hudson entered the equation. Now, Newton says Belichick has broken one of his own cardinal rules.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile he has been the helm of being a head coach, he\u2019s always led with this: \u2018Do not be a distraction,\u2019\u201d Newton said.<\/p>\n

Hudson\u2019s presence, from being spotted at Chapel Hill to making headlines nationwide, has been a distraction.<\/p>\n

With that said, Newton appears to have nothing against Hudson personally, nothing that she has \u201cshimmied her way into relevance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although, Newton did say that he\u2019d personally avoid the type of age gap that is present in the Belichick-Hudson relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna be the one that says it. We all need to sign the petition. Hate me, despise me, but somebody\u2019s gotta keep it real.
