This offseason, the Miami Dolphins<\/a> had cornerbacks Jack Jones, Kader Kohou, Rasul Douglas, Arti Burns, Ifeatu Melifonwu and Kendall Sheffield all hit the market, leaving the room rather thin.<\/p>\n

At this point in the offseason, they have Storm Duck, Darrell Baker, Jason Marshall, JuJu Brents, Marco Wilson, Ethan Robinson, Alex Ausin, Ethan Bonner, Jason Maitre, Isaiah Johnson and Miles Battle filling out the position group.<\/p>\n

However, while the Dolphins<\/a> have plenty of names on the depth chart, nothing is in stone for any of them, and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan made that clear earlier this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cNobody has earned anything yet,\u201d Sullivan said (transcribed by the Miami Herald<\/a>). “Nobody has established themselves yet back there. That\u2019s just the truth of the matter… That whole back end is competing for their jobs. I like who\u2019s on the roster. Those guys would all tell you no one has established themselves for whatever reason, whether it\u2019s injury or inconsistent play. We are going to put them in a bag and shake them up and see who\u2026 wins the job. I\u2019m going to do everything in my power if there\u2019s one available that\u2019s a stud, I\u2019m going to go get them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sullivan’s final note may point to a direction that the team is heading for the 2026 NFL draft, as they hold two picks in the first round and seven in the top 100 picks.<\/p>\n

There are plenty of talented cornerbacks that the Dolphins could consider in the first three rounds, and with Sullivan on the clock at pick No. 11 overall, LSU’s Mansoor Delane and Tennessee’s Jermod McCoy could potentially be there for Miami to take.<\/p>\n

Having all of these high draft picks gives them more wiggle room when attacking their biggest needs in 2026, but cornerback is near the top of the list, so Sullivan may choose to target the position with one of their first-round selections.<\/p>\n
