The league\u2019s owners meetings just wrapped up in Phoenix, Arizona. Steelers fans got to hear from Omar Khan and Mike McCarthy, who peddled many of the same answers but also gave some insight on other aspects of the roster. Unfortunately, the Steelers came out of those meetings still without an answer from Aaron Rodgers on his intentions for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n
However, that may just be a formality. According to Yahoo Sports\u2019 Andrew Siciliano, who attended the league meetings, the vibe seems to be pointing toward a Rodgers reunion.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can\u2019t say anything definitive, because the Steelers don\u2019t know anything definitive. The belief around the annual meeting is still that Aaron Rodgers will be a Pittsburgh Steeler this year, and that it\u2019s the Steelers or nobody,\u201d Siciliano said earlier this week on his Inside Coverage<\/a> podcast.<\/p>\n It sure seems to be pointing that way. Rodgers hasn\u2019t spoken publicly since appearing on The Pat McAfee Show a few weeks ago, one that proved he was nowhere close to a decision. But this week, McCarthy spoke plenty about how often he\u2019s been having conversations with Rodgers. Ones that he feels are very productive<\/a>.<\/p>\n However, it is Aaron Rodgers, who made the Steelers wait until just before minicamp last year. The Steelers reportedly expected an answer in March, but that obviously hasn\u2019t come. Now, Art Rooney II has pegged the 2026 NFL Draft as the next deadline<\/a> for a Rodgers answer. We\u2019ll see if Rodgers lets them know by then. For obvious reasons, it would be helpful if he did.<\/p>\n
