They made a run to the NFC Championship Game before coming up short against the Seattle Seahawks.

Heading into the offseason, the Rams clearly had an aggressive mindset. They’re going all-in on pursuing another championship.

Early on in the offseason, Los Angeles made the aggressive trade to acquire standout cornerback Trent McDuffie from the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for the No. 29 overall pick in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft, a 2026 fifth-round pick, a 2026 sixth-round pick, and a 2027 third-round pick.

Outside of that move to acquire McDuffie, the Rams have also brought in cornerback Jaylen Watson, re-signed safety Kam Curl, and brought in linebacker Grant Stuard.

With that being said, the NFL Draft will arrive later this month. A new prediction has been shared for Los Angeles that could lead to another big trade in the future.

Los Angeles Rams Land Interesting New NFL Draft Prediction

ESPN has revealed a new mock draft on April 2. In that mock draft, Mel Kiper Jr. had the Rams taking Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson with the No. 13 overall pick.

“This might not seem like a need on paper, with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams eating up targets in the Rams’ offense,” Kiper wrote. “But there isn’t much behind them on the depth chart, and Los Angeles reportedly explored trading the 33-year-old Adams this offseason. Tyson is my WR1 and a great value here.”

Tyson has elite potential for the future. He’s the kind of player who could step in and immediately be a high-end No. 2 wide receiver if he plays to his full potential.

At some point in the future, he is projected to be a potential No. 1 wideout. He’s coming off of a 2025 season with the Sun Devils that saw him catch 61 passes for 711 yards and eight touchdowns and racked up 75 catches for 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns back in 2024.

On the outside looking in, Tyson would be an addition that adds even more firepower to an already elite offense led by star quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Drafting Jordyn Tyson Could Lead to a Major Rams Trade

As mentioned by Kiper, Los Angeles has reportedly looked into the idea of trading Davante Adams this offseason.

Adams, who was signed to a two-year, $44 million deal prior to the 2025 season, played in 14 games during his first year with the Rams. He caught 60 passes for 789 yards and 14 touchdowns, but did struggle with some injury issues late in the year.

Now at 33 years old, Adams’ career is starting to wind down. Bringing in Tyson to replace Adams could make a lot of sense for Los Angeles.

Granted, the Rams could simply add Tyson and keep Adams for the 2026 NFL season. He could walk away as a free agent after the upcoming campaign.

Either way, Los Angeles would have options if it drafts Tyson. Should this prediction for the Rams come true, Adams would instantly become a talked about trade candidate int he NFL rumor mill.

Evan Massey Evan Massey is a sports reporter and analyst located in Indianapolis, Indiana who covers the NFL, NBA, MLB, WNBA, and college sports.
