Jaguars HC Liam Coen said that WR\/CB Travis Hunter<\/a> will be spending equal time on both sides of the ball this offseason.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we\u2019re going to blend the offseason schedule with him a little bit better than we did last year, which was more of like focusing per day on one side of the ball,\u201d Coen said, via ESPN<\/a>. \u201cAs we did it in-season, where he was more back and forth [on both sides of the ball] throughout the day, that may be a little bit more where we\u2019re trending.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Texans acquired RB David Montgomery<\/a> from the Lions in March. Detroit HC Dan Campbell<\/a> highly praised Montgomery, saying that they felt a move would be beneficial for both parties.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI love David Montgomery<\/a>,\u201d Campbell said, via Aaron Wilson<\/a>. \u201cHe\u2019s a stud. He\u2019s unbelievable. We had a conversation and felt like this was something that was going to be good for both sides. This gave David an opportunity to be the bell-cow and we got some value back. I love David. He\u2019s a freaking pro, man. He is unbelievable. So, he will be missed, but I think the Houston Texans are going to be very happy with the back they just got. I think he makes them better.\u201d<\/p>\n

Montgomery said that Houston was a team he wanted to join and that he was impressed by the team during joint practices in previous years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHouston was definitely the place that I wanted to go,\u201d Montgomery said. \u201cI was in Detroit, a very successful organization, and I practiced against Houston a couple of times and they\u2019ve always been the hardest team to practice against. So, you can tell the morale, the mentality that coach Ryans brings to the table too. You also get to look at yourself like, \u2018Dang, if I ever had an opportunity, I would love to play for a guy like that.\u2019 Look, I\u2019m here now getting to play under a guy like that, and I want to come in and show these guys that I could hang with the big dawgs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Montgomery wants to prove he is more than a \u201cpower back.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing able to show that I can be more than what people think that I am, as much as them saying I\u2019m a power back,\u201d Montgomery said. \u201cBecause I hear that a lot, I could do a lot of stuff that power backs don\u2019t do, or they don\u2019t fit the criteria of what that is. I\u2019m not going to talk too much about it, but I\u2019m more of a show than tell kind of guy. So, I\u2019m not going to say what I can or what I will do. I\u2019m just going to show it. So, it\u2019ll be fun to be part of an experience with a group of guys who are relentless and ready to go.\u201d<\/p>\n

Titans HC Robert Saleh admitted that he studied RT JC Latham<\/a> when he was with New York, but didn\u2019t have an opportunity to select him before Tennessee took him off the board.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a big man. We studied him when we were looking for an O-lineman when I was in my last stop, too. We studied him extensively, from a draft standpoint, obviously, but he was already off the board when we got there,\u201d Saleh said, via Titans Wire<\/a>. \u201cHe has tremendous athleticism,\u201d Saleh continued. \u201cFor him, it\u2019s just taking his game to another level both on and off the field, in terms of preparation and putting himself in a position to be successful. He\u2019s got everything you want out of an offensive lineman, as far as what he\u2019s capable of, and he just has to continue to piece it together, learn the scheme, understand the game within the game with regard to blocking some of the premier pass rushers in this league. Again, he got to take his, as a professional, continue to take those steps that are required to be the best he can be.\u201c<\/p>\n
