(Cronin)<br \/>\nJohnson admitted it was tough to form relationships with CBs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JohnJa13.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-03-31_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jaylon Johnson<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GordKy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-03-31_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kyler Gordon<\/a> last year because of the time they missed with injuries. He said, \u201cWe\u2019re starting over completely this spring,\u201d with the relationships, so he can get to know them better. (Cronin)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/P\/ParsMi00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-02_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Micah Parsons<\/a> said shortly after tearing his ACL in Week 15 that he expects to miss the first 3-4 games of the 2026 season. When recently speaking to reporters, Packers HC Matt LaFleur said he\u2019s hopeful Parsons won\u2019t miss much action.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope not,\u201d LaFleur said, via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7161188\/2026\/03\/31\/packers-micah-parsons-rehab-brian-gutekunst\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Matt Schneidman of The Athletic<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019ve got a plan. I don\u2019t ever wanna put limitations on people, but obviously there\u2019s a process, and the medical (staff) has to feel really good about it before we put a guy back out there coming off that significant of an injury.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parsons has been notably training with fellow Green Bay edge rushers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SorrBa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-02_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Barryn Sorrell<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/O\/OlivCo00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-02_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Collin Oliver<\/a> this offseason. Packers GM Brian Gutekunst has been pleased with Parsons growth as a leader.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you acquire a player, you never really 100 percent know when they enter your environment, how that\u2019s gonna be,\u201d Gutekunst said. \u201cI couldn\u2019t be happier with how he\u2019s embraced Green Bay, embraced our teammates and his teammates, the leadership he\u2019s shown. He\u2019s all football. I think that\u2019s the thing for me that\u2019s been exciting to see: where he\u2019s gonna go as a Green Bay Packer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Packers TE <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/K\/KrafTu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-02_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Tucker Kraft<\/a> has also been recovering from a torn ACL. Gutekunst mentioned that he\u2019s always at the team facility to work on his rehab and is eager to return.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s there all the time,\u201d Gutekunst said. \u201cHe\u2019s doing really well, as well. Another huge part of our team. Both those guys \u2014 would\u2019ve been nice to see how that back end of the season would have unfolded if they were there and a few others. Those guys are true pros. They\u2019re very eager to get back. There\u2019s a lot in front of them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Vikings signed veteran QB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MurrKy00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-02_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kyler Murray<\/a>, despite not being viewed as a perfect fit for HC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/O\/OConKe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-02_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kevin O\u2019Connell<\/a>\u2018s offense. O\u2019Connell doesn\u2019t think Murray gets enough credit for getting into a rhythm and playing within a structure.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think he\u2019s gotten enough credit for playing in rhythm,\u201d O\u2019Connell said, via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7159300\/2026\/03\/31\/minnesota-vikings-kyler-murray-qb-nfl-owners-meetings\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alec Lewis of The Athletic<\/a>. \u201cWe all recognize some of the highlight-reel ability that he has. \u2026 But I think sometimes what we don\u2019t recognize is the third-and-7 right before the huge scramble play.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Connell is confident Murray will help add wrinkles to their offense.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKyler is dynamic in the keeper game and movement game with his natural athleticism,\u201d O\u2019Connell said. \u201cI see a lot of ways that we\u2019ll be able to continue the evolution of our offense in Year 5.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/McCaJJ00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-02_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">J.J. McCarthy<\/a>, Minnesota owner Mark Wilf said they still have confidence in the third-year quarterback.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think J.J. has a bright future ahead of him,\u201d Wilf said. \u201cHe\u2019s incredibly talented. We certainly have confidence in J.J.
