Coach [Mike McCarthy] has been in contact with him pretty regularly.\u201d<\/p>\n McCarthy recently mentioned being in contact with Rodgers<\/a>, explaining they had been having weekly conversations. <\/p>\n He has made no secret of wanting a reunion with the Green Bay Packers legend<\/a> for the upcoming season. <\/p>\n McCarthy was the head coach in Green Bay when Rodgers won his sole career Super Bowl title.<\/p>\n They spent 13 seasons working side-by-side before McCarthy was fired in 2018.<\/p>\n However, McCarthy is still doing his due diligence on other quarterbacks if Rodgers does not come back, or indeed plays for another NFL team<\/a>. <\/p>\n He said via Steelers.com earlier this week, \u201cI think like anything, people talk about having a plan.<\/p>\n \u201cI think you have to have a system of player acquisition.
