But, arguably this post reads like a clear subtweet in New Orleans’ direction. Jordan has been clear all offseason that he would prefer to stick around in New Orleans. While this is the case, Jordan has been clear that he is looking to be valued and if the Saints don’t meet what he is looking for<\/a>, he is willing to move on. He said as much while joining Terron Armstead on “The Set with Terron Armstead.”<\/a> <\/p>\n \u201cAs much as I love the city of New Orleans, as much as I want to be in the city of New Orleans \u2026 if things don\u2019t add up to what I consider as value, I understand the business nature of it all,\u201d Jordan said. \u201cIn my mind, of course you see guys my age re-sign to the team because that\u2019s the only team they\u2019ve ever been with and you\u2019re like, \u2018Hell yeah. We love that.\u2019 But that\u2019s to his situation. That may not be to my situation. … I know what I want to do, what I want to accomplish,\u201d Jordan said. \u201cIf that doesn\u2019t line up (with the Saints), that\u2019s fine as well.”<\/p>\n Taking Jordan’s previous comments into account, it’s pretty clear that the two sides have not been able to come to terms on a deal yet. If they had, a deal would be done. That is not the case, at least right now. Saints head coach Kellen Moore spoke about Jordan while speaking to the media during the annual league meetings throughout the week and made it clear that the Saints “love” Jordan.<\/a><\/p>\n The process is still ongoing, though. At the end of the day, Jordan has spent his entire career in New Orleans. There isn’t a player who has played in more games for the Saints than Jordan. For New Orleans, it needs a boost for the pass rush. Jordan could help with that. For Jordan, it would be for the best if he were able to stay in the one place he has called home throughout his entire career. There have been few players to spend this much with one team. <\/p>\n This chatter has gotten a bit out of hand at this point.
