Michigan true freshman receiver Salesi Moa has been impressing his new teammates throughout spring practice and has even received a notable comparison.<\/p>\n
Michigan defensive back Jyaire Hill compared Moa to former Michigan standout receiver Roman Wilson.<\/p>\n
\u201cSalesi real nice,\u201d Hill said. \u201cI was just comparing yesterday to like Roman Wilson or something like that. He real nice.\u201d<\/p>\n
If Moa can play at the caliber of Wilson, it would mean he\u2019s playing at a championship level. Wilson was a major catalyst during Michigan\u2019s national championship season in 2023. Wilson had 48 receptions for 789 yards in \u201823 with 12 touchdowns.<\/p>\n
Moa, a four-star prospect, was ranked as the No. 42 overall player in the 2026 class in the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. Moa, who played at receiver and cornerback in high school, was ranked as the No. 2 athlete and No. 1 player in the state of Utah. Moa tallied 226 receptions in his high school career for 3,757 yards with 44 touchdowns.<\/p>\n
\u201cPerhaps the best pure pass-catcher to come out of the state since Puka Nacua<\/a> in the 2019 class,\u201d 247Sports\u2019 Blair Angulo said<\/a>. \u201cMoa has special traits at receiver.
