With that being said, the future of the position is still bleak, leaving the option of drafting a TE open. Michael Trigg is a great receiving threat who has the potential to one day become Philadelphia’s starting TE.

Round 4, Pick 137: Zane Durant (DL, Penn State) Dec 31, 2024; Glendale, AZ, USA; Penn State Nittany Lions defensive tackle Zane Durant (28) celebrates with the Heisman pose after defeating the Boise State Broncos during the Fiesta Bowl at State Farm Stadium. The Miami tackle stands at 6’9 346, and did not allow a sack in 558 snaps last season. The Eagles no longer have Jeff Stoutland to coach the offensive linemen, but Bell would be a great addition to the room nonetheless.

Round 6, Pick 197: Xavian Sorey Jr. (LB, Arkansas) Sep 6, 2025; Little Rock, Arkansas, USA; Arkansas Razorbacks linebacker Xavian Sorey Jr. (10) celebrates after an interception during the first quarter against the Arkansas State Red Wolves at War Memorial Stadium. He has some of the best athleticism in the draft and a perfect frame for the linebacker position. Consistent playing time was the concern at college, but he is certainly worth a late-round flier. Sorey could be someone who, looking back, many wonder how he fell so far.

End Of My Philadelphia Eagles Rant

This Eagles mock draft addresses the team’s most important needs after the NFL’s free agency period.
