They have signed veteran Matt Gay, wo has ties to the staff, to replace Daniel Carlson, who had been with the team since 2018.<\/p>\n
Still, it wouldn\u2019t be a shock if the Raiders use a late-round draft pick or a prioritize a kicker in undrafted free agency to compete with Gay.<\/p>\n

He recently got the NFL scouting community in a tizzy with a pro day performance frankly unseen by a kicker.<\/p>\n

Murphy put worth a dizzying performance at his pro day as he ran a 4.50 40 and was 12 of 13 on field-goal attempts, including a 70-yarder.<\/p>\n
Kickers aren\u2019t supposed to be built like that. Murphy was his school\u2019s kickoff specialist in 2025, so he is raw as a palcekicker.<\/p>\n
