Coming out of the first few weeks of free agency, the San Francisco 49ers<\/a> might not be the biggest wide receiver-needy team in the NFL.<\/p>\n

They’ve added Mike Evans in a big free agent pickup, and also picked up Christian Kirk to add to the depth of the WR room alongside Ricky Pearsall. But, even with a better room, adding a WR in the 2026 NFL Draft in Round 1 isn’t out of the question.<\/p>\n

With such a need still on the table, ESPN’s Matt Miller<\/a> predicted that the 49ers would be competing with the Buffalo Bills<\/a>, Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>, and Miami Dolphins<\/a> for 919-yard Texas A&M WR KC Concepcion.<\/p>\n

“Texas A&M’s KC Concepcion is the best candidate for that, thanks to his run-after-catch ability and pure speed,” Miller writes. “Teams like Buffalo, San Francisco, Kansas City, or Miami could all be potential landing spots.”<\/p>\n

The 49ers fighting for Concepcion would be an interesting situation to monitor with those other teams picking in the back half of the first round.<\/p>\n

Concepcion had 919 receiving yards on 61 receptions last year to go with nine touchdowns. He’s likely to be the fifth wide receiver off the board, and could be a late-first rounder.<\/p>\n

Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon, Jordyn Tyson, and Omar Cooper Jr. are more likely to go ahead of\u00a0Concepcion, which could leave these four WR-needy teams to fight over the Aggie WR.<\/p>\n

Of this group of four teams, the Bills pick first at No. 26, while the 49ers are picking 27th, the Chiefs 29th, and the Dolphins at 30th overall.<\/p>\n

The 49ers, in theory, have the second-best odds to land\u00a0Concepcion, right behind the Bills. Of course, one of the Dolphins, Chiefs, or another unexpected contender could move up in the draft and take\u00a0Concepcion.<\/p>\n

San Francisco is one of the possible landing spots for the speedy, run-after-catch receiver this NFL Draft.\u00a0Concepcion would be a fun addition to the 49ers WR room and make for a great trio with Evans and Pearsall if this pick comes to fruition.<\/p>\n
