{"id":851492,"date":"2026-04-03T16:02:15","date_gmt":"2026-04-03T16:02:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/851492\/"},"modified":"2026-04-03T16:02:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-03T16:02:15","slug":"49ers-predicted-to-compete-with-chiefs-bills-dolphins-for-919-yard-rookie-wr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/851492\/","title":{"rendered":"49ers predicted to compete with Chiefs, Bills, Dolphins for 919-yard rookie WR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Coming out of the first few weeks of free agency, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/nfl\/san-francisco-49ers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">San Francisco 49ers<\/a> might not be the biggest wide receiver-needy team in the NFL.<\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;ve added Mike Evans in a big free agent pickup, and also picked up Christian Kirk to add to the depth of the WR room alongside Ricky Pearsall. But, even with a better room, adding a WR in the 2026 NFL Draft in Round 1 isn&#8217;t out of the question.<\/p>\n<p>With such a need still on the table, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/draft2026\/story\/_\/id\/48377191\/2026-nfl-draft-latest-buzz-rumors-news-mocks-sleepers-mccoy-nussmeier-beck\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">ESPN&#8217;s Matt Miller<\/a> predicted that the 49ers would be competing with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/nfl\/buffalo-bills\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Buffalo Bills<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/nfl\/kansas-city-chiefs\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/nfl\/miami-dolphins\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Miami Dolphins<\/a> for 919-yard Texas A&amp;M WR KC Concepcion.<\/p>\n<p>49ers predicted to compete with Bills, Chiefs, Dolphins over Concepcion<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Texas A&amp;M&#8217;s KC Concepcion is the best candidate for that, thanks to his run-after-catch ability and pure speed,&#8221; Miller writes. &#8220;Teams like Buffalo, San Francisco, Kansas City, or Miami could all be potential landing spots.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The 49ers fighting for Concepcion would be an interesting situation to monitor with those other teams picking in the back half of the first round.<\/p>\n<p>Concepcion had 919 receiving yards on 61 receptions last year to go with nine touchdowns. He&#8217;s likely to be the fifth wide receiver off the board, and could be a late-first rounder.<\/p>\n<p>Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon, Jordyn Tyson, and Omar Cooper Jr. are more likely to go ahead of\u00a0Concepcion, which could leave these four WR-needy teams to fight over the Aggie WR.<\/p>\n<p>More:\u00a0<a target=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/nfl\/san-francisco-49ers\/news\/49ers-kyle-shanahan-christian-mccaffrey-plan-wear-and-tear\/5b487c1198734c74d257c054\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">49ers plan to limit Christian McCaffrey<\/a>\u2019<a target=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/nfl\/san-francisco-49ers\/news\/49ers-kyle-shanahan-christian-mccaffrey-plan-wear-and-tear\/5b487c1198734c74d257c054\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">s touches in 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Of this group of four teams, the Bills pick first at No. 26, while the 49ers are picking 27th, the Chiefs 29th, and the Dolphins at 30th overall.<\/p>\n<p>The 49ers, in theory, have the second-best odds to land\u00a0Concepcion, right behind the Bills.
