Colts 2025 second-round pick JT Tuimoloau just let the rest of the world know the correct name he wants to be referred to going forward, so fans will have to get used to this change.<\/p>\n

The Indianapolis Colts added multiple new players this offseason, and it\u2019ll take fans time to get to know them. JT Tuimoloau provided an update that will also require some adjustment.<\/p>\n

The Colts\u2019 2025 second-round pick, JT Tuimoloau, is no longer preferring to go by JT and will instead go by Jaylahn. It\u2019s time to reintroduce Colts defensive lineman Jaylahn Tuimoloau.<\/p>\n

Colts 2025 2nd round pick JT Tuimoloau has shared he prefers to go by Jaylahn Tuimoloau going forward<\/p>\n

The Colts drafted Jaylahn Tuimoloau with the 45th pick in the 2025<\/a> NFL Draft. During his rookie season, he appeared in 13 of the team\u2019s games. He finished the season with 17 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and six quarterback hits. <\/p>\n

His role is likely to grow this season due to significant turnover at the position. He will compete with newcomers Arden Key and Micheal Clemons. As well as any other players, the team adds to the room before training camp. <\/p>\n

Tuimoloau isn\u2019t the first Colts player to want to change the name the fans and media call him. Shaquille Leonard<\/a> began his career as Darius Leonard, and Bobby Okereke corrected the way to pronounce his last name.<\/p>\n

And this situation is a pretty easy one to understand. Jaylahn is his birth name, and JT was a nickname he chose to go by throughout college. So he isn\u2019t really changing his name; he is just choosing to go by his actual name going forward.<\/p>\n

According to longtime Colts beat writer Mike Chappell, you pronounce it similarly to the name Jaylen. This should help fans since the Colts currently have three players whose names are pronounced that way. Those being Jaylon Carlies, Jalen Travis, and Jaylon Jones. <\/p>\n
