Impressively, the Green Bay Packers are only a little more than two weeks away from the start of offseason workouts.<\/p>\n
The NFL released the dates of all of its teams\u2019 offseason programs on Friday afternoon, with several teams set to begin next week. Teams starting on Monday or Tuesday are those with new head coaches, who get an extra two weeks to begin their programs with players.<\/p>\n
The Packers, however, will kick off their offseason program on April 20, which is the Monday immediately preceding the start of the 2026 NFL Draft. The team will then conduct a few weeks of strength and conditioning work and scheme install meetings before eventually moving to on-field work later in the month of May. That will consist of four weeks of practice before breaking for the summer after the conclusion of the final OTA session on June 18th.<\/p>\n

OTA practices remain voluntary, but these practices allow the team to line up for full drills in helmets, albeit with no live contact or pads. The Packers have often opened up some of their OTA practices to the public in past years, with last year\u2019s final public practice coming on June 3.<\/p>\n
This year, the Packers will hold minicamp in the third week of the practice window, with a final week of OTAs to follow. This is a bit of a change, as the team has historically scheduled minicamp for the final week instead. This event is required for all rostered players without an excused absence, and fines can be levied against players who do not report. Minicamp practices in past years have also frequently been open to the public, weather permitting.<\/p>\n
As always, the Packers use workout bonuses in their veteran players\u2019 contracts to help ensure attendance throughout the program. Players must attend a certain percentage of qualifying activities to earn their bonuses, and the team has 20 players on their roster who are each set to earn bonuses of at least $100,000 if they meet the requirements.<\/p>\n
The biggest scheduled workout bonus belongs to running back Josh Jacobs, whose contract will pay him $600,000 for attending the offseason program.
