New England excelled in the 2025 offseason, but sustaining that success will require continued roster building—especially through the draft.

The Patriots preserved their draft capital in recent cycles and now enter the 2026 Draft with 11 total picks, including all seven of their own, a fourth-rounder from Chicago, and multiple sixth-round selections.

Patriots Draft Picks:

New England has spent aggressively in free agency to patch immediate needs. Even this offseason, after moving on from Stefon Diggs and K’Lavon Chaisson, they quickly filled those gaps by signing Romeo Doubs and Dre’Mont Jones to multi-year deals.

For as well as Eliot Wolf and the front office have handled the short term, long-term building blocks are still needed. Outside of quarterback Drake Maye and cornerback Christian Gonzalez, few players project as foundational pieces.

Patriots Positions of Need: Key Draft Targets for Patriots: KC Concepcion – WR – Texas A&M

Maye’s rookie season exposed a lack of reliable weapons. While recent additions stabilized the group, the Patriots still need long-term playmakers. Concepcion offers versatility, burst, and route-running ability, along with value as a returner—another area of need.

The star Aggie projects to be a first-round pick and may be available for the Patriots’ first selection at pick No. 31.

T.J. Parker – Edge – Clemson

Once viewed as a potential top-10 pick, Parker’s stock dipped after a quieter 2025 season. Still, his 2024 production—11 sacks, 19.5 tackles for loss, and six forced fumbles—speaks to his upside. His pass-rush ability and run defense make him an intriguing fit, especially under Mike Vrabel.

Parker is another candidate for the Patriots’ first-round pick as the 27th-ranked prospect in the 2026 NFL draft.

Blake Miller – OT – Clemson

Despite Clemson’s underwhelming year, Miller stands out as a high-end athlete on the edge. He posted a 9.97 Relative Athletic Score at the combine, ranking among the best offensive tackle marks in decades, which reflects his standing as a first-round talent and target at 31st overall for the Patriots. With Morgan Moses entering his age-35 season and the final year of his deal, Miller could be a natural successor.

If the postseason revealed anything, it’s that New England needs reinforcements in the trenches. With a deep pool of draft capital, the Patriots are well-positioned to build a sustainable contender for years to come.

The post New England Patriots 2026 NFL Draft Preview appeared first on The Lead.

After a couple of years in the gutter, the New England Patriots are back where they belong: in…

[2050
29145,692,6032,833,10559,7,8035,11814,1167,249,2326,2094,6,208,3995,531
0":"post-852315","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-new-england-patriots","8":"tag-blake-miller","9":"tag-chicago","10":"tag-christian-gonzalez","11":"tag-drake-maye","12":"tag-dremont-jones","13":"tag-football","14":"tag-klavon-chaisson","15":"tag-morgan-moses","16":"tag-new-england","17":"tag-new-england-patriots","18":"tag-newengland","19":"tag-newenglandpatriots","20":"tag-nfl","21":"tag-patriots","22":"tag-romeo-doubs","23":"tag-stefon-diggs
["GET
