The Miami Dolphins<\/a> brought in former New England Patriots long snapper Joe Cardona last offseason to replace Blake Ferguson, and now they’ve replaced Cardona with another former Patriots long snapper – Tucker Addington.<\/p>\n

Addington played at Sam Houston State from 2016-19 and went undrafted in 2020. After a stint in the USFL with the Houston Roughnecks in 2022, he’s bounced around the NFL, including a few-week stint on the Dolphins<\/a> practice squad back in 2024.<\/p>\n

According to Over the Cap<\/a>, Miami gave Addington a one-year deal this offseason that’s worth $1.15 million. There’s no guaranteed money in the deal, as the entire $1.15 million is base salary, making his cap hit for 2026 the same.<\/p>\n

This deal far from guarantees a spot for Addington on the roster, and with former San Francisco 49ers long snapper Taybor Pepper signing not long after, the 28-year-old will have to really earn his job throughout Miami’s offseason program.<\/p>\n
