{"id":852832,"date":"2026-04-04T06:31:56","date_gmt":"2026-04-04T06:31:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/852832\/"},"modified":"2026-04-04T06:31:56","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T06:31:56","slug":"patriots-drake-maye-savagely-disrespected-by-nfl-writer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/852832\/","title":{"rendered":"Patriots Drake Maye Savagely Disrespected By NFL Writer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nesn.com\/new-england-patriots\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New England Patriots<\/a> quarterback Drake Maye finished second in MVP voting last year, losing one of the closest races in history to 38-year-old Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford.<\/p>\n<p>He took the Patriots to their first Super Bowl in the post-Tom Brady era, and threw for more than 5,000 yards in the regular season and playoffs combined.<\/p>\n<p>The Ringer writer <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nflrankings.theringer.com\/qb-rankings\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Steven Ruiz paid respect<\/a> to Maye\u2019s season by handing him the ranking of the sixth-best quarterback in the NFL (two spots behind Justin Herbert, who he ranked ahead of Stafford, fyi).
