The Lions<\/a> LB depth includes Malcolm Rodriguez who has an ACL tear<\/a> in his history. Would the team consider another LB with an ACL history and other knee issues? That is the question with Josiah Trotter who could be a top prospect if his health checks out.<\/p>\n

Josiah Trotter, LB (21) – Missouri<\/p>\n

Projected round 2.\u00a0#39 on Jeff Risdon board Feb 19.<\/a><\/p>\n

Concern level 6\/10<\/p>\n

Trotter has an accumulation of significant knee injuries in his past. Most recently, he had a \u201cminor\u201d knee injury that needed surgery. A simple meniscus tear might fit that description. He did not run at the combine which is a concern.<\/p>\n

Previously, he had separate ACL and MCL injuries. While those two ligaments generally heal very well, medical will need to evaluate the status of his knee cartilage, which does not heal well.<\/p>\n

His very young age is a nice benefit if his cartilage checks out.<\/p>\n
