Another NFL analyst has connected the Los Angeles Rams to Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq as a match made in heaven. <\/p>\n

The Los Angeles Rams<\/a> have been connected to numerous prospects atop the 2026 NFL Draft. Analysts across the landscape are trying to figure out just what the Rams will do in the first round, and that\u2019s exactly the way the Rams want it. <\/p>\n

Several top prospects have been most prominently connected to Los Angeles, and one of them is Oregon Ducks tight end Kenyon Sadiq. The Rams broke out a new heavy personnel offense last season, and Sadiq fits perfectly. <\/p>\n

Kenyon Sadiq a \u201cperfect fit\u201d for Los Angeles Rams<\/p>\n

In a recent article for ESPN, analyst Matt Bowen identified numerous favorite fits<\/a> for the top prospects in the 2026 draft, and mentioned Sadiq with the Rams. <\/p>\n

With his frame and 4.39 speed, Sadiq could be a seam stretcher for quarterback\u00a0Matthew Stafford. Plus, McVay could use Sadiq as a backside X receiver\/power slot to draw favorable man matchups. And he would fit as a catch-and-run target on boot action concepts; Stafford led the NFL with 75 attempts on designed rollouts in 2025.<\/p>\n

I do agree that Sadiq would be a tremendous addition to the Rams. Los Angeles is searching for more explosiveness offensively. Sadiq fits the bill as one of the best athletes at tight end that we have seen in recent years. <\/p>\n

However, I do wonder about the fit with the Rams. Based on prior comments about Terrance Ferguson, who the Rams drafted last year, it seems like the Rams want to deploy Ferguson in a similar manner as to what Bowen alluded to with Sadiq. Having both Sadiq and Ferguson on the field like that is possible, of course, but has its own issues.<\/p>\n

Neither of Sadiq or Ferguson are good enough blockers to really threaten defenses on the ground. It\u2019s doubtful either will get to that level as well. If defenses aren\u2019t worried about the threat of the run, they will just match heavy personnel with nickel or dime, negating much of the advantage generated by multiple tight ends. <\/p>\n

I do think the Rams will look to draft a tight end at some point in the 2026 NFL Draft, but I imagine it will be to improve their blocking as a unit. In-line blocking was a struggle for the team last year. Sadiq, as talented as he is, simply isn\u2019t that kind of a player. <\/p>\n

There are ways around it, but the fit isn\u2019t nearly as seamless as once imagined in my opinion.<\/p>\n
