He can play in the box or at free safety, and he can take snaps in the slot, also.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-14\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"82\">&#8220;Savvy three-year starter with NFL size, speed and alignment versatility,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/prospects\/dillon-thieneman\/32005448-4966-6823-396e-49f496f38c4d\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lance Zierlein of NFL.com<\/a> wrote in his scouting report. &#8220;Thieneman is an extension of his defensive coordinator, aligning and adjusting the secondary to motion and pre-snap shifts. He\u2019s an instinctive, rangy safety who can roll down into big nickel or robber positioning. He has a good feel for play design and route concepts in zone but has average change of direction to match breaks in man. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-15\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"85\">&#8220;He\u2019s not a big thumper near the line, but he rushes into the action with a relentless pursuit that should allow him to keep stacking high scores in the tackle columns.
