The Dolphins have hosted wide receiver Ted Hurst on a visit ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft<\/p>\n

The Miami Dolphins<\/a> have spent the majority of the offseason tearing their roster apart. Guys like Tua Tagovailoa<\/a>, Tyreek Hill<\/a>, Jaylen Waddle<\/a>, and Bradley Chubb<\/a> are no longer in town, as Miami\u2019s new regime has quickly signaled its intention to undergo a full-scale rebuild. While the Dolphins have signed several players to come in and replace these guys, it\u2019s clear the front office has its sights set on the 2026 NFL<\/a> Draft.<\/p>\n

In order for Miami to find its way back into playoff contention, it\u2019s going to need to properly draft and develop players for the next few years. One spot the Dolphins desperately need help at is wide receiver, and they were recently linked to one of the fastest-rising prospects in this draft class, Ted Hurst of the Georgia State Panthers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dolphins Host Ted Hurst on Pre-Draft Visit<\/p>\n

Georgia State WR Ted Hurst, one of the busiest draft prospects, has a visit on Monday with the #Dolphins<\/a>, then he has the #Colts<\/a>, source said.<\/p>\n

In all, the 6-foot-4 Hurst has 12 visits and workouts, including with the #Vikings<\/a>, #Raiders<\/a>, and #Falcons<\/a>, as well. <\/p>\n

Easily the biggest move the Dolphins have made this offseason saw them sign Malik Willis to come in and be their new starting quarterback. The problem is that Willis doesn\u2019t really have any weapons at his disposal on offense. Right now, the only guy he can count on to consistently help him is running back De\u2019Von Achane.<\/p>\n

Miami is likely going to look to add some weapons for Willis in the draft. Hurst has quickly popped up on the team\u2019s radar after he enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2025 with Georgia State. In 12 games, Hurst racked up 71 receptions for 1,004 yards and six touchdowns, and after an impressive performance at the 2026 NFL Draft Combine, he has quickly seen his draft stock skyrocket.<\/p>\n

Hurst still isn\u2019t expected to be selected until the third or fourth round, but he could be a fantastic value selection for the Dolphins at some point in the middle of the draft. It\u2019s obvious that Hurst is on Miami\u2019s radar, as it hosted him on a pre-draft visit<\/a> in an effort to get a better idea of whether or not it should look into bringing him to town.<\/p>\n

Hurst didn\u2019t exactly play against the top competition during his collegiate career, but he has an impressive physical profile that could help him turn into a star wide receiver. Playing primarily on the outside, Hurst has an exceptional catch radius, which helps him break free for big plays on deep passes from his quarterback.<\/p>\n

Right now, the Dolphins need a little bit of everything in the wide receiver room. Hurst is still a raw prospect, but given the team\u2019s needs, he could conceivably contribute right from the get-go for Miami in 2026. It will be interesting to see where Hurst settles in on teams\u2019 draft boards, but if he\u2019s available late in the third round or early in the fourth round, the Dolphins could conceivably find a way to bring him to town.<\/p>\n
