NFL.com’s Chad Reuter predicted the Seattle Seahawks to target UConn receiver Skylar Bell in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n
The Seattle Seahawks<\/a> currently have just four selections in the 2026 NFL Draft. The organization will have to make every one of them count to fill their remaining needs this NFL<\/a> offseason.<\/p>\n To do that, NFL.com\u2019s Chad Reuter sees the Seahawks focusing on one particular trait \u2014 speed.<\/p>\n In his latest 2026 NFL mock draft, Reuter predicted Seattle to land San Diego State cornerback Chris Johnson at No. 32 overall to end the first round.<\/p>\n \u201cJohnson\u2019s speed (4.4-second 40-yard dash) and electric footwork make him a perfect fit to join Devon Witherspoon in the Seahawks\u2019 starting lineup,\u201d wrote Reuter<\/a>.<\/p>\n As a senior, Johnson posted<\/a> 49 combined tackles, including three for loss. He also had nine pass defenses and four interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns.<\/p>\n Behind those statistics, Johnson earned the Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year award.<\/p>\n In the next two rounds of his NFL mock draft, Reuter slotted Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price and UConn receiver Skyler Bell to the Seahawks.<\/p>\n With the Huskies, Bell earned All-American honors thanks in large part to his quickness.<\/p>\n \u201cBell is an inside\/outside target with adequate size and field-stretching speed,\u201d wrote NFL.com\u2019s Lance Zierlein<\/a>. \u201cHe has the tools to beat press quickly and the acceleration\/cut quickness to open clean windows.<\/p>\n \u201cBell\u2019s speed and upside should make him a productive starter.\u201d<\/p>\n Bell registered<\/a> 101 receptions, 1,278 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns during 2025.<\/p>\n \n\t\t\tDave Holcomb<\/a> is a sports reporter covering the NFL and MLB for Heavy.com, with a focus on the Pittsburgh Steelers and a variety of other NFL teams.
