The team could select a guard early in the NFL Draft.

With four starters under contract through 2027, the Seahawks have rare continuity on the offensive line. But right guard remains an area of potential concern.

Which prospects could be ideal fits to push or succeed Anthony Bradford in the 2026 NFL Draft?

Although Bradford started in Seattle for three straight seasons, the Seahawks may look at other options in the upcoming draft. Bradford enters 2026 in the final year of his deal, so a draft pick that bolsters the depth of the offensive line makes sense for the reigning champions. PFF gave Bradford a 50.6 grade last season, ranking 70th among 81 qualified guards in the NFL.

The Seahawks have one pick in each of the first three rounds of the NFL Draft, but they only have one pick on day three. They sent their fourth and fifth rounds picks to the New Orleans Saints for Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. Experts project them as a team to trade down after losing multiple impact players in free agency.

Seattle Seahawks Have Options in the NFL Draft

GettyEmmanuel Pregnon could be an option for the Seahawks at the end of the first round.

Through the first three rounds of the NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks have plenty of options. However, that depends on how they move throughout the draft board.

There are three guards with potential first round grades in the upcoming NFL Draft. The most lauded of those prospects is Olaivavega Ioane from Penn State, but current mock drafts rank him to be taken in the middle of the first round. Given that insiders predict the Seahawks to trade down, a move up for Ioane seems unlikely.

That being said, there are two options potentially available if the Seahawks stay at pick 32: Emmanuel Pregnon from Oregon and Chase Bisontis from Texas A&M. Some NFL mock draft experts have the Seahawks slated to be interested in those players. If the Seahawks seek an immediate starter, those two are the most likely options.

On day two of the NFL Draft, there are more guards of varying quality. Keylan Rutlidge from George Tech has moved up draft boards recently. Connor Lew from Auburn saw his stock fall from the end of first round after a torn ACL. Sam Hecht from Kansas State has also jumped up into this range. All three could be a choice for the Seahawks at the end of the second round. Logan Jones from Iowa and Jalen Farmer from Kentucky are some other prospects assumed to be available at points in round three.

Seahawks Finally Have Continuity on the Offensive Line

GettyWith extensions to Cross and Lucas, the Seahawks finally have continuity on the offensive line.

During 2025, the Seahawks extended both Charles Cross and Abraham Lucas to multiyear extensions. On September 4, Lucas signed a three year $46 million extension. Months later on December 4, Cross signed his own four year $104.4 million extension.

Their addition solidified the tackle spots in Seattle for years to come. Both became drafted after the Seahawks replaced former starters Duane Brown and Brandon Shell.

Until recently, the Seattle Seahawks struggled to find those replacements at the center and guard spots. After Gabe Jackson left the Seahawks in 2023 for the Carolina Panthers, Damien Lewis moved over from right guard to left guard. That’s when Bradford became the right guard starter.

Lewis then left for the Panthers the following season, where he has remained as a starter. Left guard was suddenly now a need, so the Seahawks signed Laken Tomlinson. However, he was just a stop gap for the Seahawks to take Gray Zabel the following year in the first round.

Zabel continues to impress as he heads into his second year of NFL play. It helps that he has chemistry with starting center Jalen Sundell. Both played together at North Dakota State.

Prior to Sundell becoming starter, the Seahawks have had a new starting center each year for five seasons. Ethan Pocic in 2020, Kyle Fuller in 2021, Austin Blythe in 2022, Evan Brown in 2023, and Connor Williams in 2024. When Williams retired midseason, current backup Olu Oluwatimi took over as the starter.

Sundell convinced coaches in training camp to earn the starting center over Oluwatimi prior to the 2025 season. However, both are under contract for the next two seasons. With every starter outside of Bradford under contract until 2027, the Seahawks finally have clarity at offensive line.

Chris Lewis is a freelance sports writer based in Gig Harbor, Washington.
