It seems like the New England Patriots<\/a> and Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> appear in trade rumors every other day.<\/p>\n

The Patriots would love to poach the Eagles\u2019 28-year-old starting wide receiver this offseason, but a deal has yet to materialize. That could soon change, though, as a recent report<\/a> indicates the Patriots are expected to complete a blockbuster trade with the Eagles in the summer to help Drake Maye.<\/p>\n

\u201cExecs expect the Patriots to acquire receiver A.J. Brown from Philadelphia in June, once the salary-cap implications become more tenable for the Eagles,\u201d The Athletic\u2019s Mike Sando reported Thursday.<\/p>\n

Many Patriots fans likely began to panic after The Athletic\u2019s Dianna Russini reported in March that Brown would remain with the Eagles for the time being. However, Russini\u2019s report made it clear that a trade isn\u2019t off the table, which should have put New England\u2019s fan base at ease.<\/p>\n

Brown\u2019s resume speaks for itself. The Ole Miss product has recorded four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, secured three second-team All-Pro nods, and captured a Super Bowl as the Eagles\u2019 trustworthy No. 1 receiving option.<\/p>\n

Although Brown\u2019s diva-like antics may rub some the wrong way, there\u2019s no question that when at his best, Brown is a dynamic wideout who possesses the physical tools and high catch radius necessary to dominate weekly.<\/p>\n

If Sando is spot on, the Patriots will have much to look forward to.<\/p>\n
