The Bill Belichick Foundation has become a child of divorce \u2014 except it\u2019s not getting two separate Christmases.<\/p>\n
The Foundation abbreviates to \u201cBBF,\u201d but its namesake and its president are no longer \u201cBFFs.\u201d Or even frenemies.<\/p>\n
Belichick dated Linda Holliday for 16 years before he changed his relationship status to \u201cOld Bae\u201d of Jordon Hudson.<\/p>\n
Belichick and Hudson are reportedly engaged, if we\u2019re to believe the avalanche of rumors and reports. That includes messages flooding my DMs and inbox, a story in\u00a0The New York Times, TMZ\u2019s Memorial Day weekend scoop on Hudson flashing a sizable rock on her left hand at the Raleigh-Durham Airport, and the freshly updated \u201cI + VIII Rings\u201d moniker on Belichick\u2019s Nantucket boat.<\/p>\n
In just over a year, Belichick has gone from \u201cThe Greatest NFL Coach Ever\u201d to a multimedia punchline. That\u2019s in lieu of concerns over his mental status and ability. Although he\u2019s yet to coach a single game, he\u2019s already generated more discomfort for the University of North Carolina than Coach K. Never mind Clemson and Dabo Swinney on Oct. 4.<\/p>\n
His relationship with the cheerleader\/entrepreneur\/pageant contestant Hudson, a mere 49 years his junior, has gone full Shakespeare.<\/p>\n
Comedy. Tragedy. Farce.<\/p>\n
How about a sonnet? \u201cThere once was a coach from Nantucket \u2026 \u201c<\/p>\n
Hudson\u2019s shot at CBS heard round the world (\u201cWe\u2019re not talking about that!\u201d) ignited a conflagration of media scrutiny around Belichick not seen since the darkest days of \u201cSpygate.\u201d<\/p>\n
But the Bill Belichick Foundation is legally in the custody of Belichick\u2019s ex. Linda Holliday remains listed as President in the Foundation\u2019s most recent filings with the Massachusetts Secretary of State and on its latest available Form 990 federal tax return (from 2023).<\/p>\n
Despite their very public breakup \u2014 and reports that Holliday is no longer involved with the Foundation \u2014 no personnel changes concerning the Foundation have been filed with the state.<\/p>\n
Each twist in Belichick\u2019s current toilet swirl takes us somewhere new and unexpected. Pablo Torre ventured inside the Winthrop Airbnb where Belichick and Hudson filmed the now-infamous \u201cTopless Bill\u201d Ring video.<\/p>\n
Hopefully, Pablo got all his shots \u2014 before and after.<\/p>\n
Today, the Belichick Saga brings us to Alturas, California. Tucked into the northeast corner of the Golden State, Alturas boasts 2,175 residents and lies west of Nevada and south of Oregon.<\/p>\n
It has a Subway \u2014 yes, home of the footlongs once hawked by Belichick. But the nearest McDonald\u2019s or Walmart? A 1-hour, 45-mile drive.<\/p>\n
The closest Dunkin\u2019? 171 miles south in Reno, Nevada.<\/p>\n
But what Alturas does have, courtesy of the Bill Belichick Foundation, is a $10,000 donation to support the high school\u2019s baseball facilities.<\/p>\n
Take that, F-rated Patriots team amenities.<\/p>\n
Modoc (County) High School will use the grant to improve lighting, fencing, and the backstop at its baseball field.<\/p>\n
No word on whether the Modoc High School baseball team plane still has ashtrays or lacks WiFi.<\/p>\n
Holliday wrote in the letter awarding the grant: \u201cYour organization exemplifies the mission of the Bill Belichick Foundation. We seek out those leaders and athletes who embody our family\u2019s passion for sport, coaching, teambuilding, and excellence. Thank you for sharing our values and doing your job!\u201d \u2014 as noted in the\u00a0Modoc County Record.<\/p>\n
Sounds presidential to me.<\/p>\n
In 2024, the Foundation awarded $350,000 in scholarships and grants to individuals and sports organizations across the country, per a post dated May 14, 2024, on its website. It has yet to post a similar recap for 2025.<\/p>\n
Multiple messages sent to the Foundation through its website and social media channels were not returned.<\/p>\n
The Foundation\u2019s 2024 annual report, filed Oct. 31, lists Holliday as President. Belichick\u2019s three children \u2014 Stephen, Amanda, and Brian \u2014 remain listed as directors, a status unchanged since the Foundation\u2019s founding on June 26, 2013.<\/p>\n
One day prior to that filing, a photo surfaced on social media of Holliday in a \u201cBill Kill\u201d Halloween costume.<\/p>\n
\u201cCan everyone please stop being offended by absolutely EVERYTHING? Ya\u2019ll would have never survived in the Eddie Murphy, Andrew Dice Clay, etc. etc. days,\u201d she wrote on Instagram. \u201cFor the love of God, laugh a little. Lighten up. Everything isn\u2019t an attack.\u201d<\/p>\n
As Gotham\u2019s Police Commissioner Jim Gordon once warned Det. John \u201cRobin\u201d Blake: \u201cYou\u2019re a detective now, son. You\u2019re not allowed to believe in coincidence anymore.\u201d And there are no coincidences on social media.<\/p>\n
The Bill Belichick Foundation maintains feeds on X, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. Hudson follows the Foundation\u2019s Instagram feed. The Foundation has not followed her back. Its most recent post? A shout-out to the Foundation\u2019s Boston Marathon runners.<\/p>\n
Hudson also follows Amanda Belichick, head women\u2019s lacrosse coach at Holy Cross. Amanda has not returned the favor.<\/p>\n
Since its founding nearly 12 years ago, the Bill Belichick Foundation has awarded about $3 million in scholarships and donations.<\/p>\n
The 501(c)(3) nonprofit\u2019s mission is to \u201cprovide coaching, mentorship, and financial support to individuals, communities, and organizations.\u201d It focuses on football and lacrosse, aiming to share the Belichick family\u2019s values \u2014 love of sport, coaching, and teambuilding \u2014 with tomorrow\u2019s athletic leaders.<\/p>\n
The Foundation is still receiving donations (they took my $10 and thanked me with a nice note). But it\u2019s no longer accepting applications for scholarships or grants on its website.<\/p>\n
And don\u2019t expect it to be awarding any handouts to the Modoc High School cheerleading squad anytime soon.<\/p>\n
