Every NFL Draft has those names. Those prospects who are viewed as a sure thing in Round 1. Then every once in a while, they suddenly become question marks as the predraft process rolls on. Sometimes, that has grabbed the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>‘ attention. At other times, the organization isn’t moved. This year, Jordyn Tyson might be the owner of one of those names. Hamstring concerns and a lack of predraft workouts have created a bit of an \u201cout of sight, out of mind\u201d effect. For a wide receiver once projected as a top-15 choice<\/a>, that’s all it takes to start someone’s slide.<\/p>\n

This time around, if that slide continues, it could place the Philadelphia Eagles in a very interesting position. Here’s a question that most may not have considered.<\/p>\n

First came the theories about Kenyon Sadiq’s possible slide<\/a>. Now comes another angle. Jordyn Tyson’s draft stock could be falling.<\/p>\n

His production for the Arizona State Sun Devils<\/a> speaks for itself, and his frame and route-running ability both translate to the professional level. So do his playmaking traits. At his best, he looks like a player who can step in and contribute immediately. The questions are about the risk involved in taking him. Then, there’s something else to consider. Philadelphia has needs elsewhere. Edge rusher and the offensive line remain priorities. So is depth at safety and at wide receiver\/tight end, especially when considering both short- and long-term succession planning. Those are safer, more predictable investments in the first round, but the Eagles have also never shied away from value.<\/p>\n

If Tyson slides, the conversation changes. This becomes less about need and more about opportunity. With uncertainty still surrounding A.J. Brown’s long-term future, adding another high-end receiver wouldn’t just be a luxury. It could be a necessity. It’s the type of scenario that puts pressure on the draft room. Pass on the talent, and you risk watching another team benefit. Take the gamble, and you’re betting that the medical concerns are temporary, not defining.<\/p>\n

If Jordyn Tyson is sitting there at 23, this won’t be an easy decision. It might be one of the most important ones the Eagles make all weekend. No one needs to be told he’s capable of becoming a star.
