Andrew Luck has responded to Eric Ebron’s comments on how things played out with Chris Ballard and the Indianapolis Colts<\/a> when he retired.<\/p>\n On a recent episode of Ebron’s ‘On My Soul’ podcast, he had this to say about Luck’s decision to retire:<\/p>\n \u201cHe (Ballard) tells Andrew, \u2018You\u2019re either playing this year or we\u2019re moving on,'” said Ebron.<\/a> …”Andrew Luck now says, \u2018I\u2019m not going to be ready, I\u2019m tired of playing with pain. I retire.'”<\/p>\n Luck has since responded to FOX59’s Mike Chappell<\/a>:<\/p>\n “Chris and I had a wonderful partnership, especially through my decision to retire, and we remain close,” Luck told Chappell. “Any notion of internal pressures that influenced my decision are without merit.”<\/p>\n Expert NFL picks: Exclusive betting insights only at USA TODAY.<\/a><\/p>\n Luck would announce that he was retiring just before the 2019 NFL season. He is currently the general manager<\/a> of the Stanford football program, where he played his college career.<\/p>\n Luck was the first overall pick by the Colts<\/a> in the 2012 draft.
