Gracie Hunt is kicking off an exciting new era.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old daughter of billionaire Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt announced her engagement to Derek Green\u2014whose dad Trent Green was the team\u2019s quarterback for five of his 15 seasons in the NFL\u2014nearly one year after hard launching their romance on social media.<\/p>\n

In a post on Instagram<\/a> April 4, Gracie shared multiple photos of the outdoor proposal, where the couple were surrounded by white candles and flowers on a wooden deck. Derek, 26, got down on one knee in a light gray suit, while his bride-to-be wore a white floor-length dress.<\/p>\n

As for Gracie\u2019s new sparkler, one close-up pic offered a detailed glimpse at her emerald-cut ring, complete with diamonds along the band and a single emerald green stone.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was always you,\u201d the football fanatic\u2014who works in brand development and marketing for the Chiefs\u2014wrote alongside her post, with her now-fianc\u00e9 adding in a comment<\/a>, \u201cFOREVER AND EVER.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gracie and Derek made their relationship Instagram official in May, when the former Miss Kansas USA shared snaps<\/a> from a tropical getaway with friends. But as it turns out, the soon-to-be spouses have known one another much longer than their digital footprints might suggest.<\/p>\n

\u201cDerek and I have known each other our whole lives,\u201d Gracie told People<\/a> in August. \u201cWe would actually play together as babies during the Chiefs’ Christmas parties every year, and then we reconnected as adults in 2017 and met on the sidelines pregame.\u201d<\/p>\n

And the rest is history, as Gracie added that the pair \u201chave been inseparable ever since.\u201d<\/p>\n
