Head coach Dusty May and his crew will go up against the No. 2\u00a0seed\u00a0UConn Huskies<\/a> on Monday, April 6, and the team who wins the game<\/a> will be the 2026 NCAA national champions.<\/p>\n There\u2019s a lot at stake for May and the Wolverines. The last time a Big 10 team took home that top prize was back in 2000, with Michigan State University and Tom Izzo<\/a>. While MSU made it to the Sweet 16 this year, they didn\u2019t get past that round, so they\u2019ve been forced to watch the rest of the tournament action from home.<\/p>\n The Detroit Lions<\/a> have pride about Michigan\u2019s sports teams, and that\u2019s not just the Detroit teams, such as the Pistons<\/a>, Tigers or Red Wings. The Lions also appreciate college sports, including the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State University Spartans. Ahead of Monday\u2019s game, they sent a strong message to May and the Wolverines.<\/p>\n Detroit Lions Send Clear Message to Dusty May and the Michigan Wolverines Ahead of NCAA Championship Game<\/p>\n On Saturday, April 4, moments after the Michigan victory over the Arizona Wildcats, the Detroit Lions took to social media to congratulations the Wolverines. On Instagram, they shared a celebratory post<\/a> with the caption, \u201cGo blue,\u201d wishing them good luck.<\/p>\n Of course, the comments were sprinkled with people wondering if the Lions also support MSU. \u201cGood to know the lions don\u2019t claim MSU,\u201d one said. \u201cHeck no, go Lions, go Green,\u201d another said, referring to State.<\/p>\n Campbell\u2019s daughter, Piper, actually goes to Michigan State University. In May of 2025, he was spotted helping his daughter move back home after being at college for the year.<\/p>\n \u201cCampbell was helping his daughter Piper pack up her college dorm at Michigan State this weekend after she finished up her freshman year, but it appears that one piece of furniture gave the NFL<\/a> coach a hard time,\u201d a report from Fox News stated at the time<\/a>.<\/p>\n Campbell\u2019s wife, Holly, posted a video of him moving a massive bean bag out of the dorm, and into the back of a truck, and it surfaced on social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n Get to Know Michigan Wolverines Head Men\u2019s Basketball Coach, Dusty May<\/p>\n Dusty May and his wife Anna May are high school sweethearts. The couple is from Bloomfield, Indiana, and got married in 2000.
