Some of the uncertainty on where A.J.<\/p>\n

Brown could be playing football either this year or next year, and h- as we saw again this week, another Eagles article where it’s talking about Jalen Hurts.<\/p>\n

Well, it, it, it could, it could help to get just more certified pass catchers in here.<\/p>\n

and I think Sadiq is, is kind of interesting ’cause he’s not Obviously, like, he doesn’t have, he doesn’t have pro-typical size, 6’3″, 241 at the combine, but y- he’s got what you want from an athletic standpoint.<\/p>\n

And I do think he’s, he’s kind of one of those guys that he’s not, like, the best blocker in the world, but he’ll try, which is- Mm-hmm good enough, sometimes.<\/p>\n

Like, if you can just get in the way of somebody, like, sure, even, even Kyle Pitts can do this.<\/p>\n

Like, he can, he can just get in the way for, for somebody just long enough for Bijan Robinson or, Tyler Allgeier to, to make a play.<\/p>\n

That’s really all we’re asking for.<\/p>\n

We’re not asking you to go out there and be Mercedes Lewis.<\/p>\n

Just get in front of somebody for, like, two seconds.<\/p>\n

I think he could, he could do that.<\/p>\n

I compared him to, Jordan Reid.<\/p>\n

I think they, they compared him to Or no, Lance Zierlein compared him to, Trey McBride.<\/p>\n

But, like, that’s kind of what you’re looking at, like, more of a receiving first tight end.<\/p>\n

but I, I just think it makes sense when, when you start looking at where this Eagles team kind of is in transition.<\/p>\n

not gonna have a tight end next year, not sure what the wide receiver situation’s gonna be looking like moving forward.<\/p>\n

Just, you know, see if you can hit a home run here.<\/p>\n

and I think for, for, like, picking later in the draft, this is probably about, like, as high of a floor player you can get this year.<\/p>\n

At least you’re gonna be, like, solid from a receiving standpoint pretty early.<\/p>\n

And the ceiling is high if everything comes together for a player that’s this athletic in the tight end position.<\/p>\n

The ceiling can be pretty high for Sadiq here as well.<\/p>\n

This pick lines up in a lot of different ways s- for, with some threads that we’ve been pulling on with the Philadelphia Eagles.<\/p>\n

One, I think this is going to be a very offensive-heavy draft for this team.<\/p>\n

that’s something I’ve said consistently over the last month.<\/p>\n

If you just look at, like, h- they’re very expensive on offense right now, but that defense is gonna be coming due.<\/p>\n

They’ve already extended Jordan Davis.<\/p>\n

th- some of the young stars on that side of the ball will be coming up at some point, so they have to sort of start balancing that out by getting cheaper on offense.<\/p>\n

I think they will try to hit some rookie contract players this year.<\/p>\n

You also, we, Scott Pianowski and I talked about this early last week.<\/p>\n

The Eagles, if you look at their signings and re-signings, brought back Grant Calcaterra for whatever reason, brought back Dallas Goedert.<\/p>\n

Johnny Mundt, they signed a one-year deal.<\/p>\n

Stone Smartt, they signed a one-year deal.<\/p>\n

Like, they pretty clearly want to change, and I, I think the article that came out from ESPN also backed this up.<\/p>\n

If you divorce yourself from, like, the Jalen Hurts drama of it all, the one clear signal from that is that they do wanna change offensive identities, and I think they want Hurts to be more cooperative in that perhaps than they think he has been previously.<\/p>\n

You, you can leave it at that.<\/p>\n
