And Snead did not shut the door on it. I think in all of this, I think Kirk\u2019s got opportunities and our approach with the backup QB situation has been to give those players some space.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re trying to figure out what\u2019s next for them,\u201d Snead said.<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cIf it\u2019s a win-win, then we\u2019ll make it work. \u2026 The win of Kirk is, the experience he\u2019s had in the league, the experience he\u2019s had with Sean and that offense.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo if we were have to go to Kirk, that experience is going to, probably at a macro level, be more net positive than negative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Snead\u2019s comments made it clear the Rams were open to the idea, especially given Cousins\u2019 history with McVay.<\/p>\n<p>The familiarity with the system and coaching staff made him an attractive option. With Cousins heading to Las Vegas, McVay\u2019s public recruitment effort will not lead to a reunion.<\/p>\n<p>It also forces Los Angeles to reassess its backup quarterback plans moving forward.
