Parsons won\u2019t be on the field to start next season, and neither will Rashan Gary and Kingsley Enagbare.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-6\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"71\">Enter Gabe Jacas, who had 27 sacks in four seasons, including eight in 2024 and 11 in 2025. He\u2019s 6-foot-3 5\/8 and 260 pounds, with a mountain of strength with 30 reps on the 225-pound bench press. Added together, he\u2019s got the size to be a ready-to-go run defender and the production to help the pass rush.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-7\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"74\">\u201cYou\u2019re going to get a physical player, disciplined player, someone that doesn&#8217;t take a play off,\u201d he said at the Scouting Combine. \u201cSomeone that\u2019s just a natural leader, someone that&#8217;s going to attack every play, someone you can depend on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-8\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"77\">He is the No. 57 prospect,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7009839\/2026\/02\/10\/nfl-draft-2026-rankings-prospects\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> according to The Athletic\u2019s Dane Brugler<\/a>, who wrote, in part: \u201cWith his rocked-up, athletic build, Jacas is a quick and violent pass rusher.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-9\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"7a\">Also considered: With the board short on corners and defensive linemen, the others were Michigan edge Derrick Moore, Louisville WR Chris Bell and Northwestern OT Caleb Tiernan.<\/p>\n<p>Third Round, Pick 84: Arkansas CB Julian Neal<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-11\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"7g\">The Packers are OK at cornerback with Keisean Nixon, Carrington Valentine and Benjamin St-Juste. They need to be better than OK. Julian Neal has that type of potential.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-12\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"7j\">In two seasons as a starter, with almost all of those snaps coming on the outside, PFF charged him with a 48.0 percent catch rate and 55.2 passer rating at Fresno State in 2024 and 56.3 percent with an 82.5 rating at Arkansas in 2025, when he intercepted two passes and had 12 passes defensed. He\u2019s a quality tackler and run defender.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-13\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"7m\">This physical skill-set will work.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Julian Neal is a CB prospect in the 2026 draft class. He scored a 9.20 RAS out of a possible 10.00. Otherwise, they\u2019ll be run over against physical teams, like the Ravens did to them in Week 17.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-18\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"81\">Zxavian Harris a mountain of a man at 6-foot-7 3\/4 and 330 pounds with 34 5\/8-inch arms. That\u2019s a lot of size and length to control the middle of the line. He had three sacks, nine tackles for losses, three pass deflections and three blocked kicks as a senior.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-19\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"84\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarionledger.com\/story\/sports\/college\/ole-miss\/2024\/08\/19\/ole-miss-football-zxavian-harris-arrest-domestic-violence\/74856034007\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">His off-the-field history will have to be vetted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-20\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"87\">Also considered: Boise State OT Kage Casey, Illinois OT J.C. Davis, Baylor WR Josh Cameron, Penn State RB Kayton Allen.<\/p>\n<p>Fifth Round, Pick 160: Mississippi WR De\u2019Zhaun Stribling<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-22\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"8d\">The draft isn\u2019t only about this year. It\u2019s about future years. After the upcoming season, the only receivers under contract for 2027 are Matthew Golden and Savion Williams. Given the price for a quality veteran receiver, there\u2019s no guarantee Chrisitan Watson or Jayden Reed will return.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-23\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"8g\">After two seasons at Washington State and two more at Oklahoma State, De\u2019Zhaun Stribling finished his career with the Rebels, catching 55 passes for 811 yards and six touchdowns. He had just one drop.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-24\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"8j\">Todd McShay made his comparison.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Six plays, 101 seconds on Ole Miss WR De\u2019Zhaun Stribling \u2014 he went on a CFP heater (17-278-1 in 3 gms)! In fact, I didn\u2019t realize it until typing in the picks.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-31\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"94\">Diego Pounds fits the typical Packers mold of a college left tackle with excellent athleticism.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Diego Pounds is a OT prospect in the 2026 draft class. He scored a 8.54 RAS out of a possible 10.00. There\u2019s some Rasheed Walker vibes as a late-round tackle who can pass protect but might never be a great run blocker.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-34\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"9d\">The Packers don\u2019t have an obvious backup to new starting left tackle Jordan Morgan.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-35\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"9g\">Also considered: Washington OT Carver Willis, Clemson RB Adam Randall, Ohio State TE Will Kacmarek, Texas A&amp;M DT Tyler Onyedim.<\/p>\n<p>Seventh Round, Pick 236: Toledo RB Chip Trayanum<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-37\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"9m\">Gutekunst promised<a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/packers\/onsi\/more-competition-to-come-at-unexpected-position-of-need-for-packers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> \u201cmore competition\u201d at running back<\/a>, and Toledo\u2019s Chip Trayanum fits Green Bay\u2019s preferences as a powerful runner at 5-foot-10 5\/8 and 224 pounds. He\u2019s fast (4.50 in the 40) and athletic.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Chip Trayanum is a RB prospect in the 2026 draft class. He scored a 9.62 RAS out of a possible 10.00. Or using another pick on the offensive line, getting a blocking tight end to fill the void created by Josh FitzPatrick\u2019s torn Achilles, or even throwing another quarterback into the competition.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-42\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"a1\">Instead, we\u2019ll double up on Toledo players with cornerback Andre Fuller, who was charged with a 42.3 percent catch rate in 2025.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-43\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"a4\">At 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds with 4.49 speed,<a href=\"https:\/\/ras.football\/ras-information\/?PlayerID=30131&amp;ovl=Toledo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> his RAS was 9.03<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-44\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"a7\">Also considered in seventh round: Stanford CB Collin Wright, Connecticut QB Joe Fagnano, Boston College G Logan Taylor, Tennessee TE <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pff.com\/draft\/big-board?season=2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Miles Kitselma<\/a>n.<\/p>\n<p>What I Liked<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/01kn9r2wyps36wb0fj58.jpg\" alt=\"Arkansas Razorbacks defensive back Julian Neal (23) deflects a pass away from Memphis Tigers wide receiver Cortez Braham Jr. \" title=\"Arkansas Razorbacks defensive back Julian Neal (23) deflects a pass away from Memphis Tigers wide receiver Cortez Braham Jr. \" width=\"2843\" height=\"2843\" class=\"undefined w-full w-full blur-[5px]\" q:id=\"ak\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Arkansas Razorbacks defensive back Julian Neal (23) deflects a pass away from Memphis Tigers wide receiver Cortez Braham Jr.  | Wesley Hale-Imagn Images<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-47\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"ao\">New defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon would like reinforcements on the edge, cornerback and defensive line. Getting Gabe Jacas on the edge and Julian Neal at cornerback would be good starts. With the top defensive tackles off the board, Zxavian Harris would provide good value in the fourth round, so long as the off-the-field stuff checks out.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-48\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"ar\">The Packers really do need a receiver. Given Jordan Love\u2019s fondness for throw the ball downfield, After bypassing receivers in earlier rounds, Ole Miss\u2019 De\u2019Zhaun Stribling would be a great fit with his size and speed.<\/p>\n<p>What I Didn\u2019t Like<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-50\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"ax\">With no first-round pick, there\u2019s just no way to come out of the draft feeling like every box has been checked.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-51\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"b0\">Post-draft free agency might be the way to go to ensure a well-rounded roster for the start of OTAs next month. First and foremost, at least based on this scenario, would be getting a veteran lineman who can play center and guard. That prospect just wasn\u2019t available in this simulation.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-52\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"b3\">Or, perhaps the Packers could get a nose tackle in free agency \u2013 D.J.
