Following Travon Walker’s contract extension with the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>, what’s next for him as he enters the 2026 season?<\/p>\n Injuries were an unfortunate part of Walker’s 2025 season. He missed<\/a> three games, and there were three others where he was on a snap count as he worked his way back.<\/p>\n With that, the raw production totals won’t stand out, but Walker did still rank 35th among defensive ends in PFF’s<\/a> true pass rush win rate metric — illustrating his ability to win his one-on-one matchups. He was also tied for ninth in run-stop rate.<\/p>\n So the first step for Walker this offseason was to get fully healthy. From there, it’s honing in on the little details.<\/p>\n “No. 1, my main thing was just working on getting healthy, and then it’s just fine-tuning those little small details within my hands, eye coordination, things of that nature,” Walker told local reporters<\/a> after signing his extension. “Just trying to keep my twitch as far as my strength, mobility, working on a lot of things, but it’s basically ironing out some small details. He logged double-digit sacks each season and ranked in the top-25 among edge rushers in quarterback pressures each year.<\/p>\n His ability as a run defender and his versatility brings a well-rounded skill set to the Jaguars<\/a>‘ defensive front. As defensive coordinator\u00a0Anthony Campanile mentioned<\/a>\u00a0recently, “(Walker’s) versatility is really what enables us to do the things that we want to do.”<\/p>\n Walker’s deal is for four-years and is worth $110 million total.
