Pretty soon, there will be a new member of billionaire Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt\u2019s family. Over the weekend, his 27-year-old daughter, Gracie Hunt, announced her engagement to someone the family is very familiar with: Derek Green.<\/p>\n
That is because Derek Green is the son of former NFL quarterback Trent Green<\/a>. From 2001 to 2006, Trent was the starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was always you,\u201d Gracie Hunt<\/a> wrote on social media along with photos from Green\u2019s very elaborate proposal.<\/p>\n In one photo, Derek, 26, is on one knee, proposing to Gracie Hunt in front of a large outdoor altar covered in white flowers and candles, likely in the desert, based on the cactus in the photo.<\/p>\n In another photo, Gracie Hunt\u2019s emerald-cut engagement ring is adorned with white diamonds and a single emerald stone along the band. Another picture showed the couple sharing a kiss surrounded by lit candles.<\/p>\n The series of photos also revealed Gracie\u2019s dad, Clark, and mom, Tavia, as well as Derek\u2019s parents, Trent, and Julie Green, were on hand for the occasion.<\/p>\n \u201cCouldn\u2019t be happier to gain another daughter!!\u201d Julie Green commented on Instagram. \u201cCongratulations D and G! Love you both so much!!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re getting another SON!!,\u201d Tavia Hunt wrote<\/a>, adding, \u201cGracie Green has a nice ring to it!!\u201d She also added<\/a>, \u201cForever looks so beautiful on these two.\u201d<\/p>\n Relationship timeline between Gracie Hunt and Derek Green<\/p>\n Gracie Hunt first revealed she was dating Derek Green in an Instagram post<\/a> in May of 2025. Hunt had hinted at a new relationship in an Instagram picture of herself embracing an unidentified man at Arrowhead Stadium. <\/p>\n \u201cAfter meeting 7.5 years ago in this place\u2026 all along there was some invisible string,\u201d she wrote<\/a> in April.<\/p>\n In another Instagram post<\/a> shared in July 2025, Hunt noted that she and Derek Green had been \u201cfriends since 2017.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cDerek and I have known each other our whole lives,\u201d Gracie Hunt then told People<\/a> in August. \u201cWe would actually play together as babies during the Chiefs\u2019 Christmas parties every year, and then we reconnected as adults in 2017 and met on the sidelines pregame.\u201d<\/p>\n Since then, she said they \u201chave been inseparable ever since.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t
