Skule’s return to Tampa will give them a versatile lineman who can play both sides of the line.

Bucs are bringing back tackle Justin Skule, who spent last season with the Vikings. Valauable swing tackle who has started 26 games in his career, including five with Tampa Bay.

— Rick Stroud (@NFLSTROUD) April 6, 2026Justin Skule’s return adds competitive depth to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster

Skule began his NFL career as a 6th round pick of the 49ers in 2019. After two seasons, he joined the Bucs, where he spent three seasons. He did not play in 2021 as he recovered from an ACL tear. With the Bucs, he was available for all 17 games in 2023 and 2024, but only appeared in one game in 2022.

During his last season with Tampa, he started five games, but with the Vikings last year, he added nine more starts in 16 games. He won’t be expected to start for the Bucs this year, but his reliability will give the team much-needed depth.

The addition may not move the needle for many fans, but his addition provides quality insurance to a solid tackle group that desperately needed better depth. It will allow Jason Licht more of an opportunity to focus his draft attention on other areas without feeling the need to overdraft a lineman.

In his career, Skule has played 1,774 snaps on offense. He has taken an additional 353 on special teams. Last season, he took 61% of the snaps for the Vikings. What’s impressive, however, is that he has been flagged only 11 times in his entire career. 10 for holding and one other that was declined.

Consistency is important, and Skule has proven he not only can provide depth but is reliable when he gets on the field. According to Fox Sports’ Greg Auman, the deal is for one year.

Licht will be looking for more offensive linemen in this year’s draft, but those players will be more guards than tackles. Tampa hosted left guard free agent Kenyon Green on Thursday. The free agent could provide a starting option on the interior of the line.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers need help on their offensive line, and they are getting part of that solution…

[2077
211,7,6,704,250,2597,2596
0":"post-857421","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-tampa-bay-buccaneers","8":"tag-buccaneers","9":"tag-football","10":"tag-nfl","11":"tag-tampa-bay","12":"tag-tampa-bay-buccaneers","13":"tag-tampabay","14":"tag-tampabaybuccaneers
["GET
