With the 2026 NFL Draft less than three weeks away, New York Giants fans are itching to see what John Harbaugh cooks up in his first draft<\/a> with the Giants. And while the next couple of weeks will simmer with intrigue, Brian Daboll could have another chance to screw his former team in the draft.<\/p>\n

Daboll has caused Giants fans enough heartache<\/a> this offseason, and that could only continue if his Tennessee Titans have anything to say about it. One of the prospects Harbaugh has circled on his draft board<\/a> is Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love, but he may not be available at five.<\/p>\n

Even if Love is available, it’s no guarantee that New York drafts him over Sonny Styles or Caleb Downs, but we know full well that Harbs will seriously consider him if he is. So if they come so close to being able to draft him but are sniped because Daboll’s Titans take him one pick earlier, that’s brutal.<\/p>\n

Brian Daboll and the Tennessee Titans could be the reason Jeremiyah Love doesn’t become a Giant<\/p>\n

The MO of the offseason for the Titans has been to surround franchise QB Cam Ward <\/a>with more playmakers, and Love fits the billing. Not only is the Heisman Trophy finalist the best RB prospect since Saquon Barkley, he may be the safest player in this entire draft class<\/a>, especially on offense. <\/p>\n

If you’re looking for franchise-altering skill guys<\/a>, it doesn’t get better than Love. For starters, the 20-year-old doesn’t turn 21 until late May, yet still ran for 1,372 yards and 18 scores for the Fighting Irish in 2025. And Love did this while splitting touches with another elite RB prospect in Jadarian Price.<\/p>\n

That’s the sort of player, that while a luxury pick<\/a>, could help alter the fortunes of this Giants’ offense overnight, so seeing him land with Daboll would leave a bad taste in my mouth. We dealt with him enough this offseason after he signed three Giants’ free agents<\/a>, so he better not ruin the draft also.<\/p>\n

Having Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears won’t stop Tennessee from seriously considering Love, even if someone like David Bailey or Rueben Bain Jr. makes more sense for a team that just hired Robert Saleh to be their new coach. And that could come at the expense of the Giants’ own draft plans.<\/p>\n

Harbaugh has been looking to help the G-Men return to their more physical roots this offseason, and drafting Love would turn them into one of the best ground-and-pound offenses in the league. Him, Cam Skattebo, and Tyrone Tracy would be a dream pairing if there’s a way this becomes a reality. <\/p>\n
