We can begin to paint a picture of what the Los Angeles Rams\u2019 draft plans look like based on their latest draft meetings. <\/p>\n

The Los Angeles Rams<\/a> don\u2019t often let much out when it comes to their prep for the draft. They\u2019ve done a tremendous job of keeping their cards close to their chest and rarely letting secrets out. <\/p>\n

However, details surrounding their pre-draft meetings ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft have emerged, and the Rams have evidently been focusing on three critical positions this offseason. <\/p>\n

Los Angeles Rams draft plans begin to emerge<\/p>\n

A few weeks ago, I broke that the Rams were heavily involved at<\/a> the linebacker position ahead of the draft. They had met with Pitt\u2019s Kyle Louis extensively at his Pro Day, and had reported meetings with Missouri\u2019s Josiah Trotter and Cincinnati\u2019s Jake Golday. <\/p>\n

That set the stage for building one part of the puzzle on the Rams\u2019 priority position. Linebacker was their biggest weakness left defensively, so it makes sense for them to be targeting this group. <\/p>\n

However, more meetings have begun emerging at a different position, and they add yet another piece to the puzzle. <\/p>\n

On Monday, new intel dropped that the Rams have met with<\/a> San Diego State cornerback Chris Johnson. The Rams met with him at his pro day<\/a>, and sent a scout there to watch film with him. Additionally, Ian Rapoport reported that the Rams met with<\/a> Arizona defensive back Treydan Stukes. <\/p>\n

Both of Johnson and Stukes are considered likely Day Two selections in the upcoming NFL Draft, although both are trending to be top-50 picks. <\/p>\n

Putting the Los Angeles Rams\u2019 picture together<\/p>\n

Between their meetings, the Rams\u2019 top positions of interest seem to be taking shape. They\u2019ve met with quite a few Day Two linebackers and cornerbacks. They also have met with several wide receivers<\/a> across each day of the draft. <\/p>\n

The Rams seem to be not so subtly hinting that their top priorities are at wide receiver, defensive back, and linebacker. Additionally, they have met with a pair of Day Three interior offensive linemen, looking to shore up their depth up front. <\/p>\n

Thus, it seems likely that the top of the Rams\u2019 draft board will be some order of wide receiver, defensive back, and linebacker, with depth and special teamers later on. <\/p>\n

This could all be a smokescreen to draw our attention away, of course. The Rams are criminal masterminds at this. Yet, when there\u2019s smoke, there\u2019s a fire. <\/p>\n
