Now, according to a report from Ian Rapoport, he’ll be taking a visit with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Love has previously taken visits with the Tennessee Titans and the New York Giants. Both of those teams are picking well ahead of the Cincinnati Bengals, who have the 10th overall pick. That would indicate that if everything goes well and the Bengals want to select Love, they’d likely need to trade up in the draft to do so.

In 2025, the Bengals’ leading rusher was Chase Brown, who finished the season with 1,019 yards and 6 touchdowns. Behind him were Samaje Perine, who had 382 yards and 3 touchdowns, and Tahj Brooks, who had 45 yards. As a team, they finished 29th in total rushing. So, there’s certainly room to improve there.

What to Know About Jeremiyah Love

GettyNotre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love

A Missouri native, Jeremiyah Love played his high school football at Christian Brothers in St. Louis. There, he became a four-star recruit in the Class of 2023. At the time, he became a star in track, as well as in football, even becoming the Missouri state champion in the 100-meter dash as a sophomore.

Love would ultimately choose Notre Dame over numerous major offers, including Alabama, Michigan, and Texas A&M. There, he would hit the ground running as a true freshman in 2023, playing in 13 games. However, it would be his sophomore season when Love broke out as one of the best running backs in all of college football.

In 2024, Love played in 16 games for Notre Dame. He would put up 1,125 yards and 17 touchdowns in that time, rushing for 6.9 yards per carry. Love also caught 28 passes for 237 yards and another 2 touchdowns. That included several highlight reel runs in the College Football Playoff, like his 98-yard touchdown against Indiana, and his one-yard touchdown, where he ran through a total of five Penn State defenders for a touchdown.

Repeating that success seemed almost impossible in 2025. Love was able to do just that, though. In 12 games, he had 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns. That was on 6.9 yards per carry. He also had 27 receptions for 280 yards and another 3 touchdowns. By the end of the season, he was a unanimous All-American and the Doak Walker winner.

Love went on to run a 4.36 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. That performance ended any and all doubt that he was the top prospect at running back in this NFL Draft.

Where is Jeremiyah Love Expected to be Drafted?

GettyNotre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love

There are very few players thought of as highly as Jeremiyah Love. ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. has him ranked second overall on his latest Big Board. However, the running back position is often undervalued in the NFL Draft. So, it’s fair to wonder where Love is going to be selected.

Recent mock drafts should give us some insight. Starting with ESPN, which recently put out a compilation mock draft from some of its top analysts, it’s easy to see Love is going to go high in the draft. That group projected him to go fifth overall to the Giants. It’s worth pointing out that in that same mock draft, the Bengals are set to take Mansoor Delane, a cornerback, in the first round. The Bengals are not projected to take a running back in the first three rounds there.

Elsewhere, the NFL and The Athletic put out recent mock drafts that agree Love will go fifth overall to the Giants. CBS Sports, meanwhile, has him falling to the Washington Commanders at seventh overall.

That should be a major signal to the Bengals. If Cincinnati wants to add Love, they’ll need to make a move and trade up in the draft. Otherwise, he’s likely not going to be there at 10th overall.

Dan Morrison After graduating from UMass in 2019, Dan Morrison quickly began a career in sports journalism and digital media.
