The Baltimore Ravens<\/a> have gotten a huge win on the first official day of the Jesse Minter era, and fans will be hoping this is a sign of things to come in 2026.<\/p>\n

As the Ravens began their offseason program early\u00a0due to a new head coach, all eyes were on one player to see if they would show up: Lamar Jackson.<\/p>\n

Having been known to skip voluntary offseason workouts and lose hundreds of thousands of dollars in the process, fans eagerly awaited to see if Lamar would attend.<\/p>\n

And in the first big win of the Minter era, Lamar was in attendance and worked out at the facility.<\/p>\n

And Sports Illustrated’s Mike Kadlick has detailed why it is such a big win for Baltimore.<\/p>\n

“Jackson\u2019s arrival on Monday shows that, at least for now, he\u2019s bought into Baltimore as his football home\u2014even after the two sides failed to agree on the long-term extension they set out to finalize before the start of the new league year,\u201d Kadlick wrote<\/a>. \u201cInstead, Jackson restructured his deal to give the club additional salary cap space in 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ravens not out of the woods yet<\/p>\n

With reports that Lamar only attended one voluntary workout last season, the Ravens must be confident that he will be present for more this offseason.<\/p>\n

With a new coordinator and offensive scheme to learn, having Jackson in the building will be huge for Baltimore.<\/p>\n

But if Lamar now misses some days of the program, we will wonder how much this means to the Ravens’ chances of success in 2026.<\/p>\n

However, right now, everything is coming up Baltimore for Minter, but time will tell if it stays that way.<\/p>\n
