However, as the 2026 offseason rolls on, Bryant has found a new home.

Houston’s secondary remains a strength, particularly after the Texans found a long-term solution at the same safety spot Bryant helped fill.

This might not be the last that the Texans see of Bryant, though.

Former Texans DB Myles Bryant Signs With Browns in Free Agency

GettyMyles Bryant #27 of the Houston Texans reacts against the Carolina Panthers.

“#Browns signed former #Texans DB Myles Bryant,” KPRC 2’s Aaron Wilson reported in a post on X on April 6.

Bryant was one of several signings the Browns made on Monday.

Bryant, 28, spent two seasons with the Texans, initially signing as a free agent during the 2024 offseason. He played in 11 games in each of his two campaigns with Houston, starting three contests this past season.

Bryant finished the 2025 season with 40 combined tackles. He officially ends his Texans tenure with 54 total stops.

An unrafted free agent in 2020, Bryant began his career with the New England Patriots.

He has started 20 of his 77 games played with 254 total stops, 4 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, 2.0 sacks, and 1.0 fumble recovery. Bryant brings versatility, capable of contributing at safety, cornerback, and nickelback.

Bryant has five games of postseason experience to his credit, appearing in four playoff games with the Texans.

He has started one playoff game apiece for the Patriots and the Texans.

The Texans will visit the Browns in 2026, so Bryant could get a chance to face his old team. In Cleveland, he reunites with former Texans offensive lineman Tytus Howard, whom Houston traded to the Browns this offseason.

Texans Starter Mired in Trade Speculation

GettyKamari Lassiter #4 of the Houston Texans warms up before facing the Seattle Seahawks.

Even without Bryant, the Texans’ secondary is in good shape.
