Chicago made numerous additions on the defensive side this offseason, including S Coby Bryant<\/a> from the Seahawks. Bears HC Ben Johnson outlined Bryant\u2019s skillset, praising his versatile ability that he feels they can take to another level.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we watched the tape, we felt like that jumped off when Coby was on the field,\u201d Johnson said, via\u00a0Adam Jahns of CHGO<\/a>. \u201cHe\u2019s a guy that comes out, whether he\u2019s playing quarters, playing the post, playing down in the box, he\u2019s coming down, and if he sees somebody, he\u2019s looking to light them up. There\u2019s certainly some things to his game that we\u2019re going to look to improve. That\u2019s like that with every player. And yet, we feel like he\u2019s got a really solid foundation with his play style that\u2019s going to naturally just percolate with the rest of the guys.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnson also spoke on new LB Devin Bush<\/a>, citing his character and understanding of the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou go back and you see in our system, how we viewed him coming out of college, and he\u2019s one of those guys that had a Bears box. The character matched up with the play style. He\u2019s one of those guys. I think he\u2019s going to fit in nicely with what we\u2019re doing. He\u2019s smart. He loves ball, just like we\u2019re talking about.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lions CB\u00a0Terrion Arnold was associated with a robbery and kidnapping investigation, and the team believes Arnold\u2019s lawyer, who says he wasn\u2019t involved and simply had property stolen from him.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got all the information that says he wasn\u2019t involved. That\u2019s what we know, that\u2019s all we know, and that\u2019s really all I can say,\u201d HC Dan Campbell said, via Pro Football Talk<\/a>. \u201cAs far as I know it\u2019s not a big deal. It seems like he still wasn\u2019t involved with this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michigan LB Jimmy Rolder visited the Lions. He counts as a local prospect. (Ryan Fowler<\/a>)<\/p>\n

Packers GM Brian Gutekunst was clear about their intent to add competition to the running back room, likely in the draft at this stage of the offseason. Gutekunst spoke highly of the depth behind Josh Jacobs<\/a>, but said he\u2019s sure they will make additions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI like our group,\u201d Gutekunst said, via SI.com\u2019s Bill Huber<\/a>. \u201cObviously, we brought Chris Brooks<\/a> back. We think the world of him, not only as an offensive running back in all phases but also a special teams player. I feel really confident if he has to go into a game what he\u2019s going to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re certainly going to add competition to that room. But I like whether it\u2019s MarShawn, as we get him healthy and get him going, Pierre Strong<\/a>\u2019s there. There\u2019s guys we really like, but I\u2019m sure there will be more competition to come.\u201d<\/p>\n
