There are no shortage of needs on the Miami Dolphins roster. And yet this is the second top prospect at a position the team already has several young investments. <\/p>\n

The Miami Dolphins<\/a> are in the midst of a sweeping overhaul on both sides of the football. But the changes on defense? They\u2019re wholesale. We aren\u2019t seeing a great deal of overlap with the roster from 2024 and 2025 to this season \u2014 as new head coach Jeff Hafley looks to instill his vision on that side of the ball. <\/p>\n

As the 2026 NFL Draft creeps closer, Miami is working through their final collection of 30 visits for draft prospects. And the latest development could signal Miami really does have eyes for one of the few positions rooms on the roster that isn\u2019t technically a need. The Dolphins, per Aaron Wilson, are hosting Georgia DT Christen Miller on a 30 visit. <\/p>\n

NFL insider Aaron Wilson has Christen Miller as a busy man \u2014\u00a0and someone who will visit with the Miami Dolphins ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft<\/a>. He\u2019s a point of attack monster who tips the scales at 321 pounds, which would make him a curious fit for Miami on the surface. The Dolphins drafted three defensive tackles in 2025, including Kenneth Grant in the first round with a top-15 draft selection. The team\u2019s fifth-round choice, nose tackle Jordan Phillips, got a dap from new head coach Jeff Hafley after his introductory press conference and some words of encouragement. <\/p>\n

\u201cI love you coming out. You play the game the right way,\u201d Hafley told Phillips<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Miller is projected to be a fringe first-round draft selection. Miller is my personal DT1 in this class, ranked 33rd overall.<\/a> The consensus rankings have him currently slotted in the top-50 overall<\/a>. Should Miami want to acquire Miller\u2019s talents, it will almost certainly take one of the three marquee draft selections the team has scheduled in the top-5o. 11th overall would be too early, but 30th and 43rd overall would seem to be legitimate options. <\/p>\n

It might feel like overkill for a team with massive needs elsewhere. But if Miami loves him or Ohio State\u2019s Kayden McDonald, another contender for the best defensive tackle in the trade (and another 30-visit for the Dolphins), draft him. The Dolphins are playing the long-game, here. This isn\u2019t going to be built in a day. Or a single draft. <\/p>\n

The interest could serve as an unsettling omen for veteran defensive tackle Zach Sieler, though. Sieler as an option bonus of nearly $15 million due by September 1st. He also turns 31 years old on September 7th<\/a>. The long-time veteran tackle could be another example of \u201cimproper timelines\u201d. That served as part of the motivation to trade Jaylen Waddle this spring. <\/p>\n

Perhaps it turns out to be nothing. Perhaps it turns out to be something. It could depend on the way the draft breaks ahead of Miami\u2019s picks at 30th overall and 43rd overall. But it would seem everything is on the table. <\/p>\n
