As the Tennessee Titans<\/a>‘ players arrive at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park on Tuesday, the front office and coaching staff remain focused on the 2026 NFL draft.<\/p>\n

The vast majority of analysts have predicted that the Titans will select a defensive player, specifically an edge rusher, with the No. 4 overall pick. There have been a handful to suggest that they will pick up Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, but most mock drafts put David Bailey and Rueben Bain Jr. at the top of the Titans’ list.<\/p>\n

In his latest mock draft, NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah predicted that the Titans would select Love. In his mock, Bailey is gone before the Titans pick, and apparently, Bain isn’t much of a consideration anymore.<\/p>\n

“The other thing is, I know people are listening or watching, and they’ll go, ‘Well, what about Rueben Bain? There’s another pass rusher there.’ The stuff that I’ve got out of Tennessee is, I don’t think they’re a huge Bain team,” Jeremiah said. “Now, look, we’ll see how accurate that ends up being. But I was told that was not their guy, so we’ll see.”<\/p>\n

Bain is one of the top edge rushers in this draft class, so it’s interesting that Jeremiah is hearing the Titans wouldn’t consider him with that pick. Especially since Robert Saleh is almost certainly going to want a defensive player with that pick. He’s likely to do whatever he can to convince Mike Borgonzi that defense is the right direction to go.<\/p>\n

Does that mean Saleh will win? Nope. Borgonzi could absolutely decide to pick up someone who is perhaps the best talent in this draft. And no one would blame him.<\/p>\n

Even if Bain truly isn’t their guy and they don’t plan on drafting him, several other star-quality players on that side of the ball would be warmly welcomed in Nashville. But the Titans have been quite tight-lipped about their plans, so we’ll all have to keep guessing until it comes time for them to make their selection.<\/p>\n
