The Denver Broncos<\/a> made only one move this offseason to add outside help to their team, but it was a massive move to their credit.<\/p>\n

They traded a first and third-round pick to the Miami Dolphins<\/a> for star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. But, even after that big move, the Broncos still might need to add to the offense, and specifically, at tight end.<\/p>\n

With such a need in mind, it’s not a surprise they’re visiting with a tight end for a top-30 visit. However, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network<\/a> is reporting that Denver is one of the teams hosting Eli Stowers on a visit with the TE potentially transitioning to a WR in the NFL.<\/p>\n

Broncos host Stowers on top-30 visit<\/p>\n

“An interesting note on Vanderbilt’s Eli Stowers: While officially he’s a TE, several teams are evaluating him as a WR,” Rapoport notes. “At 60foot-4, 239, his build can be compared to Mike Evans. Stowers, by the way, visits with the Broncos next week…”<\/p>\n

The Broncos going out and landing Stowers in the 2026 NFL Draft wouldn’t be too big of a surprise. They’ve been linked to tight ends all draft cycle, and could get him with their 62nd overall pick.<\/p>\n

He’s a tight end with some incredible athleticism, most notably his ridiculous NFL Combine record 45.5-inch vertical jump, a ridiculous 11′ 3” broad jump, and a strong 4.51 40-yard-dash time.<\/p>\n

The Vanderbilt tight end might end up making the transition to wide receiver in the NFL, as his best work comes as a receiver, not a blocker.<\/p>\n

Denver tried things with Evan Engram a year ago, and instead of trying to run it back with Engram in 2026, they could take Stowers in Round 2 and give him a chance to earn the starting tight end job.<\/p>\n

Denver could send out the 6-foot-4 Stowers alongside 6-foot-2 Pat Bryant and the 6-foot-4 Courtland Sutton for what would likely be the biggest wide receiver trio in the NFL.<\/p>\n

Bo Nix has a great supporting cast already, but things could get even better with a tight end addition like Stowers. Even if he moves to a WR full-time in the NFL, having him as another bigger WR would throw opposing defenses for a loop.<\/p>\n
