The Cincinnati Bengals announced they waived Matt Lee<\/a>, leaving the team without a backup center on its depth chart<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lee, a seventh-round pick of the Bengals in the 2024 NFL Draft, played in five games for the team during the 2025 season after playing in 17 games as a rookie.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the week, the New York Giants signed<\/a> former Bengals offensive lineman Lucas Patrick. Patrick was among\u00a02025 Bengals to become eligible<\/a>\u00a0for free agency at the conclusion of the 2025 season.<\/p>\n

Starting center Ted Karras has played 10 NFL seasons, four with the Bengals. He has started all 67 games in which he’s played for Cincinnati.<\/p>\n
