Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The odds have shot up a bit on Tuesday, moving up four percent as multiple mock drafters projected the Jets will select Reese.<\/p>\n<p>Mel Kiper Jr.\u2019s most recent mock draft has the Jets taking Reese No. 2 overall, as does Daniel Jeremiah. <\/p>\n<p>Although there could be value in the Jets\u2019 secondary option at No. 2 overall, which most pundits believe is David Bailey, the Texas Tech EDGE rusher. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/31\/sports\/jets-seven-round-2026-nfl-mock-draft-2-0-trade-lands-franchise-qb\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Post\u2019s Brian Costello\u2019s most recent mock draft<\/a> has the Jets taking Bailey No. 2 overall, an opinion that is shared by ESPN reporter Peter Schrager.<\/p>\n<p>Schrager has the Jets taking Bailey No. 2 overall in a move that certainly will raise some eyebrows as we get closer to the draft on April 27.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39015560\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/texas-tech-linebacker-david-bailey-124446028.jpg\" alt=\"Texas Tech linebacker David Bailey smiles at the school's NFL football pro day.\" class=\"wp-image-39015560\"  \/>Texas Tech linebacker David Bailey attends the school\u2019s NFL football pro day.
