INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) \u2014 The Colts hosted a Local Pro Day on Tuesday ahead of the NFL Draft. The day consisted of college players from all across Indiana, and other players who go to local Indiana schools.<\/p>\n
16 former Hoosiers attended the pro day at the Colts training facility, including Indiana linebacker Aiden Fisher. <\/p>\n
Here\u2019s what Fisher had to say about what he brings to the next level.<\/p>\n
\u201cSomebody that just comes in and puts his head down and works,\u201d Fisher stated. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter the role I\u2019m given, I\u2019m just going to embrace it and be the best. That\u2019s always been my goal. For me, it\u2019s always about rising to the top someway, somehow.\u201d <\/p>\n
The NFL Draft begins on April 23rd in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. For an Indiana team that went 16-0 and capped its season off with a national championship, it\u2019s safe to say NFL teams will have their eyes set on those Hoosiers entering the draft.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust look at the track record that we\u2019ve had,\u201d Fisher said. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of winners that are coming out of Indiana, guys that know what it takes to be a winner. I think that\u2019s important when you\u2019re building a franchise is guys that know how to do the right things, the right way. That\u2019s exactly what you get with Indiana.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fisher was happy to see all of his former teammates once again as they prepare for the next level.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnytime that we can go and represent Indiana in a positive way, it\u2019s a great thing to do,\u201d Fisher said. \u201cI\u2019ve been with these guys for a long time now so being able to come here and do it again is fun. The guys that did participate did a really good job and made a name for themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fisher spent his entire career under Coach Curt Cignetti. Fisher played his first two years at James Madison University, and came over to Indiana with Cignetti for his junior and senior seasons.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been an unbelievable journey,\u201d Fisher said. \u201cA lot of ups and downs for me but just being able to be here and embrace the moment while I\u2019m in it, that\u2019s something I\u2019ve been working on. I don\u2019t think I\u2019d be able to predict this four years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fisher was selected on the First-Team All-Big Ten squad in both his junior and senior seasons.
