We know that the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> are going through a little roster refresh this offseason, with general manager Brett Veach bringing in Kenneth Walker, but also seeing both Jaylen Warren and Trent McDuffie leave.<\/p>\n

With two first-round draft picks, the Chiefs have the ammunition to do a lot on draft night to improve the roster at multiple spots.<\/p>\n

Picking at No. 9, the Chiefs have the chance to grab a true difference-maker for Andy Reid. Whether that is on a pass rusher like Reuben Bain Jr, a stud corner in Mansoor Delane, or another player, Kansas City has options.<\/p>\n

But for ESPN’s Peter Schrager, in his latest mock draft, the Chiefs take stud receiver Jordyn Tyson at No. 9.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith a top-10 pick for the first time since 2017 — when the Chiefs took some guy named Patrick Mahomes — Kansas City can go in a variety of directions here,\u201d Schrager wrote<\/a>. \u201cCornerback and edge rusher are certainly options. I still think finding offensive playmakers is a major priority, though, especially with Mahomes coming off the ACL injury. Tyson pops more than any other receiver in this draft class; he just needs to stay healthy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mahomes gets top weapon in Tyson<\/p>\n

With Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice as Mahomes’ top receivers, along with Tyquan Thornton, the Chiefs could do with another receiver.<\/p>\n

Tyson is coming off a season where he posted 711 yards and 8 TDs, so there is some nice production there, and in Kansas City, given the weapons ahead of him, there wouldn’t be any real push for him to hit the ground running in Year 1.<\/p>\n

A route technician, who is a smooth and explosive mover, Tyson could develop into quite the weapon for the Chiefs and Mahomes.<\/p>\n

The last thing the AFC would want is Mahomes to get one of the best receivers in the draft, which is exactly what happens here.<\/p>\n
