When the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks return to Lumen Field next season, there will be some noticeable changes to their home stadium.<\/p>\n
Since its inception in 2002, the north end zone has been home to the \u2018Hawks\u2019 Nest\u2019 and its 3,000 bleacher seats. For those a little less familiar with the stadium, take a look at this photo:<\/p>\n
The bleacher seat days are now over. Behold the new-look Hawks\u2019 Nest that will be occupied by the 12s starting later this summer.<\/p>\n

I know we\u2019ve had some people in our comments section and in The Feed<\/a> talking about how much more expensive their Hawks\u2019 Nest season tickets got, and perhaps this is part of the reason.<\/p>\n But this stadium upgrade coincides with Seattle serving as host for several group stage and knockout round matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. As noted last year<\/a>, FIFA forbids bleacher seats for its World Cup matches, so this was one of the major changes Lumen Field had to make in order to be a host stadium.<\/p>\n When the World Cup comes to town in June, fans will not only experience a Lumen Field with a changed Hawks\u2019 Nest, but they\u2019ll also see a natural grass surface instead of the usual artificial turf.
